Goodness, I didn't even think about updates I was more concerned with conflicts among the objects. That does put a different complexion on things. I've made a table master which I cloned to make 4 retuned islands, they work apart from one wee quirk (only with moo on can I get sims to work on one side and sit at the other) so thought the tuning might have something to do with that. At the moment it would be easy enough to re do the tuning as there's only a few but I'll probably be making more this way so am interested in how I would go about having a separate tuning package linked to my objects. Can you point me in the right direction please? Thanks for your time edit: I've had a think about this and instead of adding a new tuning do I just create the tuning package separately then point all the object definition files in each object towards that name and number and as long as the tuning package is in the folder with the objects they'll work? edit 2: Yip, that's pretty much what needs to be done

I followed the old tutorial about tuning, involving exporting/importing the tuning, and have made multiple objects that use that tuning. I used the same tuning name/number in each object, should I have made each one individual and now re-do them?

Oh no my dear, thank you. I'd never have figured out any of that on my own-it's very kind of you to do these made-to-measure tutorials. You really are a star.

oh you don't want it super shiny and reflective? make the spec black than and the bump dark grey Haha, I'm not sure actually how I want it but would like to tone it down a wee bit for a comparison. Thanks again.

I've noticed a problem with my DR Oblivion coffee cup, at least in my game. The normal map seems to be showing up on other glass objects so please remove it until I can sort it. Sorry for any inconvenience, the filename is mo70_DR_CoffeeMug_GenericCoffee.

use this in place of the bump map, make your glass specular all white and make the texture around -50 opacity. and watch what results you get! 8-) Thank you for your help, I tried to tone the shine down a little with the method I was using but completely failed.

Thanks for your appreciation. I'd DR pretty much everything, there's only a handful of game stuff I use, but am starting with the things that really bug me. Thank the gods for S4S and the ability to DR!

Thank you, I think I'll tone it down a wee bit and see what difference that makes.

Hi everyone, Being a newbie I can sometimes get carried away with actually getting something to work in the game and then it's a bit difficult to remain objective. Everything I've made so far has used the blank specular found here but yesterday I mucked about with a specular for the first time so am wondering if you think it's ok or not. I'll show 2 pics, with differing lighting for comparison. Thanks for looking.
