My question is solved! Thanks to orangemittens who explained to me how to create a recolor of a custom content which includes the mesh! Thanks again!

I read in another post that there is no tool "to create an object recolor that doesn't include the mesh right now". But I was wondering how (for example) un bichobolita could create a recolor of a garment that works in game although I don't have the original mesh in my game mods folder?

Oh thank you orangemittens! But how can I include the original mesh? Can I do this with Sims 4 Studio?

Dear orangemittens you brought me to this idea: I put the original file into the game mods folder et voilà it worked! Thank you! But now there is another question popping up... How do I create a recolor which shows up in game properly and doesn't need the original mesh be in the game mods folder? Do I need to include the original mesh into my recolor or how does it work?

Do you mean the package file from the original creator? No I don't. But I also tried to recolor an original mesh made by Puresims, which was also recolored by un bichobolita, and it had the same issue. Since un bichobolita recolored the garment by Puresims without problems, the error must be on my part. Unfortunately the .package file from Puresims is too big to upload it

Thanks for your reply! I know that this works for recoloring objects like furniture. But when you recolor custom content clothes in Sims 4 Studio the package file is shown as single files. Thus there is only one swatch you can recolor. I tried open one of the single files in Sims 4 Studio and save it without recoloring so that I can separate it from the rest of the package but it doesn't work. The clothing shows up in game as lack.

In Sims 4 Studio my recolor looks like this: And in game it looks like this: When I recolor basic game clothes there is no problem at all. But when I want to recolor custom content clothes there is always this issue. I also tried with clothes made by other creators but it doesn't work either.

Hi everybody,
I was wondering if there is a way to unmerge a package file? For example: I downloaded a shirt which has two colors (green and red). I don't want to have the red one, but because the two shirts are in one package file I can't delete the red one without deleting the green one too. So I want to ask if there is a way I can split up the package file und delete the files for the red one and keep the files for the green one? Thank you!

Hi there, I followed these steps exactly, I recolored the dds.file in Paint.net and in Sims 4 Studio it looked fine but when I test it in game the clothing I recolored is invisible. I mean in Create a Sim it shows me that the clothing is in game but it is completetly invisible/transparant, it is like the sim is missing a body part. Do you know what I mean? I am sorry but my English is not good. Hope you can help me, because I don't know what I am doing wrong. (When I recolor custom content objects - I mean furniture for example - it works fine. And I am really new at recoloring.) Thank you!
