Hi Tarucco, I found the problem and fixed it right away. I think the error occurs since the Cats&Dogs patch. The shadow model is faulty, the normals (the sides on which the texture is displayed) seem to be swapped. So that the invisible side shows to the outside. I have not tried to turn them around now. With Blender I don't even know how that works because I don't work with that program. However, I am able to import and export objects. And that's what I did, I imported the actual model and replaced it with the shadow model and lo and behold, it works. i assume that this is a set with multiple objects that all have the same problem, right? Actually it would be Severinka's job to fix it. Now I don't know what you want to do. Do you want to write to her and describe the problem, do you want to try it yourself, or do you want me to do it for you?

Hello, without seeing the object, it is difficult to diagnose and offer you solutions. Can you upload the file so that we can see what the problem is? Btw. Dxt is DDS. You save .dds in Dxt options, where Dxt 1 is used for example for textures with 100% opacity and Dxt 5 is used for textures where you want to show something invisible or translucent and for the normal and specular maps. This is defined when saving as a .dds file.

Yes nhayaa, for me also the 256x1280 solution works without problems too and in the first place I work for ME. godexyposa Who says that I can not make another "weakened version" for the users? And they can then decide for themselves which variant they prefer. I'm tinkering since 2007! for the Sims, albeit under a different creatorname. I know a bit about texturising. This discussion about it is therefore completely off topic for me and no help to me, sorry.

Thank you for your attempts to help me. :-* I will go back to my original plan and create backsplash parts for the kitchen and use the walls only for the bathroom. There at least they do not make any trouble. (rofl)

Wall Murals (nothing else are my double walls) also work in the game. The problem is, I "cut" the tiles at one end of the wall, whether single or double wall (mural), whether adjusted in height or not (which, by the way, is not a must, it works without and is quite recommended if you do not want that the textures muddy), it slips, but just only at the height of the tiles, everything that is above, looks nice and is seamless. Ergo, I assume that the textures in the game are not transferred exactly on the walls. Normally you use walls where the pattern goes over the full width, there the problem doesn't exist or you don't see it, because it goes seamlessly into the other wall. Any attempt at a solution has nothing to do with my problem.

I had the same idea a few minutes ago and shrunk the walls and it does nothing. It's the same fault. That I have done all the walls before individually in the normal aspect ratio and I have the same fault, I wrote already. have that even with another tile backsplash I had done once. There the tiles are staggered and I have thereby the seam exactly in every second tile in the height. And also these are just normal simple walls. The fact that it works seamlessly with the double walls, shows the pure wall and the fully tiled. That can't be the problem.

Okay, I've uploadet to SFS. SFSDon't be surprised at the picture sizes, these are double walls as the tiles are each arranged differently to reduce the repeat. So that's definitely not the reason. I had first created the walls as singles and had the same problem. Habs changed so as not to inflate the set so. The walls are still available as full, as 2m and as 1.5m high tiled and as I said in two versions with 2 different ends, once 3/4 wall width and once 1/2 wall width. A smooth version of everything is to be added possibly still and suitable floors. It quickly becomes confusing in the game. x_x But don't worry, in zip are only 3 walls for testing. :D

Hi guy's I have never noticed it before, but there is something wrong with the walls. i am working on a tile set right now and also want to make left and right end finishes for the counter end pieces so there is a nice flush finish.
But at the edge you can see a seam from the other end of the wall, so something of the tile joint and in the middle of the joint a bit from the other end of the wall. At first I had only edited one side and thought: 'Okay, then the walls probably all have to be moved one pixel to the left. But the fault is less than 1 pixel and the problem is that it's on both sides, so each is in the other direction. I worked absolutely clean, seamless, as you can see above the tile mirror. With walls that run all the way around, you can't see the flaw, because that's where the wall ends, where it begins. This bothers and annoys me extremely. Is there anything you can do or do you have to live with it?

Oh Gosh, what an "old" thread! But for me it is very actual! :D I have made a Tiles Wall and Floor Set with full tiles walls and with tile closures in different heights. So that the rapport does not repeat itself too quickly, I made two different models. My most important question has been explained in your great videotutorial. However, my walls have a tiny 3D effect and therefore are glossy in different ways too. So I would need the normal map and the specular map also divided that way. However, there is no "UVScale" but "UVSelector" for this. But the values are all set to zero. Does it have the same effect if I enter a value of 0.5 for the width and 1 for the length?

Hey you all, today I will bring you a begin of a curtain Set which is going to expand gradually. You might think, 'What set, I see only 2 curtains here?' You’re right but this set contains 10 pieces. They are the basis for everything else. I could have kept working, but I'm having trouble concentrating. Can't make such big sets anymore. Lose the overview, the concentration and finally the joy and it will never be uploaded. That's how it happens only piece by piece. I hope you understand that. 😏 The curtains comes in 16 different patterns and colours, so they have 32 swatches.The back side looks different then the front side. And I have to warn you, they are a bit high poly (4000 one side) because they needed 2 planes for front and back. I've turned the polygons down as far as they can, without any great loss of quality. Come on... the original has 40000 polys and this without front or back. 😇 You can ‘hang’ the curtains on window without the bb.moveobjects on. But für position the laterally cortain holders and curtain rods, the cheat must be activate and then adjust in high. I don't wanted to apply the rods directly to the curtains because the different versions and swatches. That would have been too much curtains swatches. In addition, it is supposed to be a mix'n match set, so surely other Rods and rails will come to combine.🧐 So it gives a left, middle and a right side for builds a endless rod. The counter shader ensures that it is seamless. There is also a mid-rod holder for the "static". It looks like more realistic. Then it gives a left and a right single rod too, it fits only the rightly side from the curtain because the rings are positioned differently. Well, now I've talked you enough, now look yourself. 😊

Hi Sims-Fans! I'm just digging through the "My Meshes”- Folder and found this sign that I designed for myself some time ago. And remember what I did it for. I had built a restaurant in San Myshuno instead of the fitness center and wanted to have a new sign for it. Hihi, because you have a stunning view from there, if your sims sit on the terrace, the name finding was not difficult for me, very simple: “Wow” in simlish font. I used the fantastic font CherryVanilla by Franzilla. You can find it here on MTS. Many thanks for that Franzilla. 💗 I thought, maybe someone will find it useful for their own Sims-Business. However, you need the GP "Dining Out" to use the shield. It comes in 16 swatches and can be mounted on the wall and/or on the charts intended for that. Have fun!
