I had the same problem and apparently it was my antivirus (Avast) blocking the application. I've allowed the APP and now I don't get this message anymore. I don't know if there's a different way to allow the APP but I did it this way: right-click on your desktop icon >>> open file directory >>> rightclick on the app >>> properties >>> safety >>> users and group: administrators >>> OK The I tried to open the Studio and the Avast message shown up telling me it was blocking the APP. Allow the APP and now it's ok.

Hello, I've recently encountered a problem in Create-A-Sim. I searched the internet but it seems no one had it before.
When I try a dress that have many swatches, the dress and/or some of its swatches are unselectable. I go over with my mouse but it's kind of stuck and I have to scroll up and down to make it selectable again. Sometimes it works and sometimes no. I SUPPOSE it happens when there are many swatches because once it happens, it affects every clothes, even the ones with few recolors... So I'm not totally sure about it. And it happens with Maxis clothes too, not only custom contents.
I've never had this kind of bug till a week ago and I tried to load a vanilla game, tried to repair it... but nothing worked. I didn't had this problem since (a week ago) I updated Origin to last version (not the most recent, the one who came out just before). And in the meanwhile I also had to update my OS (windows 10... and you may know you can't avoid its updates unfortunately...).
These are the only two different things that happened from the moment "I had NOT" to the moment "I HAD" this problem... and I thought it was interesting to report it... Maybe it can be related to.
Today I updated Origin and The Sims to the very last version (who just came out), hoping it could solve it, but it's still there.... So I need any help/suggestion please.

Hi bimba, for a default override, in the absence of a custom thumbnail Studio will show a game generated thumbnail. This is by design to make it easier to work with default override items. Ok. Thank you for clarifying! I was sure it was different in the previous release, but it seems I'm aging too fast

The only way to make a retail display more usable is to modify EA preset slot. If you try to delete or copy or add a slot (clicking from an existing one), S4S crashes. But when I try to modify EA slots' coordinates, it works! The annoyance is you don't see the changes if you don't save, exit and re-open S4S everytime you modify a single slot. It was really painful but I tested in game and it seems to work properly

Ok.. I think I'm a lucky girl when it comes to find problems XD Have you already tried to modify retail displayer's slots? I was trying to do an override of the retailDisplay2x1_EP01GENmed But anytime I try to delete its slots, my S4S crashes. They are horribly made, there are also two slots far behind the shelf which really don't make any sense

I've found a little bug. I was doing an override of the woman's PantsSkinnyCalf and when I tried to delete the Custom Thumbnail (which actually is the CAS auto-generated thumbnail), the image didn't disappear. When I create my thumbnail and add it to the swatch, it's all ok, but the strange thing is that if I delete my thumb I still see the old cas auto-generated one below and not an empty white thumb.

Hi bimba, if you post your .package someone can take a look. I gave up on this shelf, I'll survive with the few slots option on it. And since this is a custom object from another user, I don't think it's correct to share the file in public But if someone wants to give it a try, it's the vertical column shelf from the wonderful mxims's Dysprosium Dining Set Conversion (find it here mxims.tumblr.com/post/137488338442/3t4-dysprosium-dining-dining-table-all-item-has)This new feature is exciting and really easy to use! My problem is... The slots I added don't appear in the game. The game still reads the old file but if I open the file in S4S I can see all the new slots I added. The object is a custom shelves I downloaded from an user and, originally, it had only one slot per shelf. I deleted every single slot and started again from zero, adding multiple slots per shelf. edit: I tried again with a different object and this one works correctly but I followed the identical process so I can't understand why the first item doesn't work properly edit 2: I tried for a second time from scratch and this shelf must be possessed. In Studio I only see my slots, in game only the original ones I had the same issue and couldn't for the life of me figure it out... until i deleted the original slots the object had, and just copied the ones i made onto their places. Hope this helps you out. Thank you for your suggestion, but unfortunately this was the very first thing I tried and seemed to not work at all

Ok... I think I've found the problem. No matter how many slots I add, when I go to
Warehouse ---> Slot ---> ContainerSlots ---> Edit Items
I see nothing.
Same if I open the Text window instead of the Data window. There's no text referring to the slots I'm adding. I tried to export the binary file with the intention to change it "by hand" but I don't know which program I can use to open it (Notepad didn't work).
I repeat, I don't know what's the matter with this custom shelf, since I've tried a different item and it worked soon and easily with no need to investigate in nothing ;-|

Hi bimba, according to this page the swatch colors must match EA's exactly to prevent this problem. The correct hex codes are listed there also. WOW!! You made my day!! I couldn't believe that the problem was actually a slightly (REALLY SLIGHTLY!) different hexadecimal colour

Sorry if I resume this old thread but I was trying to make some hair recolors and I have a problem. I've followed the right EA swatching order, so my black is number 5, dark brown 10 and so on... I've also renamed every single swatch with the right name (under Categories -> Hair Color) but when I try the custom file ingame, it doesn't recognize the color. For example: my sim has dirty blond EA hair but when I click on my custom hair it goes to black. The odd thing is that if my sim has orange or platinum EA hair, when I try my custom it shows the right orange/platinum custom swatch. The same doesn't happen with the other colors and I don't know why since I've made everything together :-/
