I apologize for not updating in a few days .. Having an issue where in-game (ingame ONLY), the original mesh that I replaced shows up but with the new textures. I tried to fix it but to no avail. orangemittens could you possibly help? I'm fine at meshes as far as like vertices and stuff.. but this is so frustrating! edit: here's the picture, it's shiny cause I was messing around with the rles and stuff so that's not a problem

SEPARATED BUSINESS TOPS
I was browsing through Studio and found a full body outfit with a cute top attached to it. So I took it apart and this is the finished product!
This is my first mesh. Which means it's not perfect. So first of all, there's some extreme open seams on the right sleeve on fatter sims, sadly. And on the collar bone area, it's kinda stretched because for some reason there was a hole and.. I tried to fix it. So.. yeah.. I'll probably try and fix all these issues in the future, when I actually know how to. But for now you'll have to live with it.
THE DEETS: also known as details T-E Females only. 1 Swatch. (SORRY. I am horrible at recoloring things!) I strongly recommend using high waisted pants with this. HERE are the ones I used in the previews. FEEL FREE TO RECOLOR BUT PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY TOU!
CREDIT
Sims 4 Studio for a wonderful tool EA for the original mesh & great game MisterS for his help with my noobiness Everyone in the thread I made asking if anyone wanted this #female #maxismatch

Thanks paika Yeah.. black is kinda dull but I'm sure someone'll come around to recolor it. J Mzungu Ah! Of course you can recolor it Thanks!

plovernod Oh yes indeed this is what I want. It looks great so far. When I tried I the mesh contained the back of the neck and the area around the ears of an adult and I just could not figure out how to make it fit the child's head neatly. Thanks for your prompt response. I look forward to seeing the finished results. Great! I'll continue to work on it tonight

So even if you use a image or texture from google search you have to find the original site and credit them? I use texture from google search a lot. All legal matters aside, I believe that giving proper credit to those who deserve it is the least we can do when we're utilising someone else's creation. And since you're using Google: there is a drop-down menu labeled "Usage Rights" in the Advanced Search option. You might want to try that. Oh, I never saw that. I'll be sure to use that next time so I can upload my download instead of having it as a personal recolor :D Thanks for the tip.

Hi! I might be able to pull this off for you I'm not a pro, though. I decided to see if I could even get it right at all, as far as fitting it on the kids' head. This is what I've got so far. I won't continue on it until you can confirm it's the right thing :P Is this along the lines of what you're asking for? Heh, note that it is not completely onto his head yet I hope this is right ^^;

But I'm not sure if I should post it in my studio yet. Does anyone really want it in their game?
It's a simple separated top from a fully body outfit from GTW. I love how it came out, as far as my first REAL mesh. It's not perfect, (VERY ugly and chunky around the top of the right sleeve, I tried to fix it but it's still quite ugly.) but I like it! It only has one swatch, sadly.. I'm not very good at recoloring like.. AT ALL. Simple things like t-shirts and paintings, sure. But I couldn't ever recolor something like this. I'll figure it out someday but for now I'll just let some advanced, awesome people do that.
Tell me if you would ever use this in your game ^_^This top has been uploaded HEREthis probably shouldn't be in sims 4 pictures....
sorry

This is a wonderful idea! I can't wait for the forums to be more open to non-english speakers.

Most all of the places I get textures from I can't find any TOU. Hm. In that kinda case it's not so bad ^_^

I took a look at the site and most items there seem to be licensed under an Attribution-Non-Commercial-Share Alike license although uploaders there are free to alter the terms if they choose so each item there could deviate from the license. Each item appears to have the license covering it prominently displayed on the side of the page where you can download it. The standard license they're using, unless the creator altered the terms themselves, is this: Since simply applying the pattern to your recolor does not involve remixing, transforming, or building upon the pattern, and you aren't sharing the pattern itself to be used as a pattern, only the first two sections would apply to your use of it. Since you aren't planning commercial use anyway you're all good there. As far as the credit goes, as I read it, this license is saying you should provide text something along the lines of "the blue striped pattern was created by Jane Doe and shared under an Attribution, Non-commercial, Share Alike License" and link to the license. You don't need to link to the pattern itself...only a link to the license that covers it is required. Ah, thank you for clearing this up, OM. @countrykris I think you should go to the site the pattern came from and make sure you're allowed to use it with your upload, just to be safe. Google is useful, though.
