I don't know if it's possible, but can effects like rain be cloned and edited?

Hey orangemittens . I'm trying to convert a bunch of lounge chairs using the new base game one from the Island Living patch, and I'm getting this same error when trying to replace the meshes in Blender. Does my Blender need an update? (Blender 2.70a) Or am I doing something wrong? I'm copying and pasting things from one blender file to another, which I usually don't do (I usually import .obj files and work from there). Could it be that some rigs or other components/modifiers are also copying over?

Hi Eli , Looks like a complicated thing you want to get working! I'm not very familiar with that kind of custom tuning, whenever I try something like that it needs a lot of trial and error as I can't "read" those codes either. [...] I think necrodog will be of a greater help in this case, he's more into these kind of custom tunings then I am. Will do. I don't think I mentioned that I cloned the Vet Podium and replaced it's mesh and textures with mine. So now it works like a normal Vet podium and sims click around on it. Now I need to just figure out what to remove without breaking it. Thanks for the reply

Hello Bakie . First of all, thanks for all your efforts and dedication to making these cool tutorials. I'm trying to add custom tuning to an object I'm making, similar to the Vet Podium from Cats & Dogs: sims go to it and click around on the tablet before checking their pets. Problem is, I just want this animation of clicking around on the tablet, without all the vet stuff, and then maybe playing a custom sound. Right now, I'm trying to figure out what I can do with the super affordances, or if I can make custom ones to fit my object. How do you think I should proceed to do this? EDIT: I watched one of necrodog 's tutorials where he extracts tuning of an interaction and then edits it. But in my case, I don't know which parts of the interaction to keep (the simple animation of touching the tablet), because the Vet podium has alot of venue-specific code (PetOwner, customer, etc.). I don't know which one to start with, to just extract what i need and take out the rest. Here's the interaction I extracted.

Hey guys! I've been converting maxis stuff from TS2 for a while now and you can check them out HERE. I'm back with this set from the TS2 Store.
This is a retro golden age themed set and I'm gonna be converting more objects from the set in the future to complete it. For now, this download includes:
- Armchair
- Armoire
- Dog Statue
- Double Bed
- Endtable
- Floor Mirror
- Wall mirror
- Painting
- with a bonus of 2 set of "mattresses" to use with the double bed. (One is plain black/white and the other package is all the TS2 bedsheets converted for a bit of nostalgia).
The set comes in three color schemes. Feel free to make more! (without forgetting to link back here)
Find them all by searching for "TS2 Deco" in the buy mode catalog!!! Enjoy!

Hey guys! I'm so excited to share these with you since I've been working on them for a while now! I've updated the spellbook and wand charger to work as lights, and I've made a new Charmmaker that also has glowing parts. You can adjust them to your liking in game. All can be found in appliances (Misc and Large/Small Appliances) or by searching for TS1 in the catalog. The charmmaker doesn't have any slots, I used move objects to place some clutter and the charms (unchanged from the previous download). Please remove the old spellbook and wand charger before adding these! Lastly, enjoy and let me know what you think!

Hi! Don't know if this has been suggested before? Something useful to implement would be an auto-update feature when editing textures in Photoshop or other software, and we hit save, S4studio auto-updates the preview? It would be especially useful for creators who paint textures side by side with s4studio while looking at what the object still needs. Thanks!

Eli , could you give an example of an EA item that has the type of lighting you would like to work with? Hey orangemittens ! The mushrooms from GTW are an example. They have emissive textures. I tried cloning them.. even making my own textures and importing didn't seem to work because the textures need to be linked/instanced to the LODs/meshes if I'm not mistaken.

Hi!
I haven't seen any tutorials on adding dynamic lighting to objects, I've seen some for CAS clothing but still found it difficult to import emissive DDS maps to Sims4studio and linking them to my LODs. Could emissive textures be easier to import and instance to meshes in the future? I would love to see what creators would do with dynamic lighting.

Just decorative! Maybe someone could animate the handle to spin and play some sound effects from Makin Magic

Bakie thanks for replying! So emissive maps are currently supported for CAS meshes but not yet for objects? I saw your video on youtube as I asked there as well 😂 and I also cloned the mushroom from GTW to make the object that way, but I couldn't replace the 2 main LODs with my meshes. Maybe someone should try and see if they have this problem too?

Hey Bakie . Really cool tutorial! I'm wondering how I can do this with objects though. Is it the same process of linking the emissive map to the meshes after importing?

While I wait for magic to come to TS4, I thought I'd try making a few objects from my favorite TS1 EP. In this mini-set you'll find 6 objects made by me, with new meshes: - Magic Wand: 2 swatches black and white - Wand Charger: 1 swatch - Digital Spellbook: 1 swatch - Magic Charms: 10 swatches (resize tool used in screenshot for variation) - Price of Fame Charm: 1 swatch - Clone Drone Charm: 1 swatch Magic Charms originally converted to TS2 by Crisps&Kerosene. All of these are deco and can be found in appliances or by typing "TS1" into the search box. I've also included this conversion (by SrslySims ) of a TS2 CC (by Crisp&Kerosene sims) based on the " Hole in the Ground" object from TS1. Thanks for letting me include this beautiful object! I hope you enjoy having these in your game as much as I do!
