INSTALLING & SETTING UP SIMS 4 STUDIO
In this section we will be going over how to install Sims4Studio for Windows!
STEP 1
STEP 2
Once you have registered and have access to the site you will want to go download the program. You can find the direct link to the thread here. (Beta Version of S4S) Scroll down until you see the following: Choose the way you would like to install: Installer - *Recommended - Installs S4S like a normal program on your computer. Zip - Must be unpacked and placed in the correct directories.
While you are on that page, also download and install "Blender 2.76".
Use the correct bit version for your computer. 64bit or 32bit. You MUST have Blender installed to work with mesh assets in Sims4Studio.STEP 3 After you have installed the program how you would like, you can launch it. In the bottom right hand corner you will see a place to put your "Creator Name". This is a unique name for yourself, which will become a prefix for all of your creations. The program will remember what you put here later, and you can change it at any time.STEP 4 Next go up to the navigation bar and open the "Settings".
The program will generate this information by default.
Be sure that the "Sims 4 Path" and "Sims 4 Documents" folder are correct for your particular game instillation.
Also check that "Blender Path" is pointing to the version of Blender that works with S4S. (The 2.76 version we installed in Step 2).

Sorry to bring this up but necrodog I am having problems with getting the microwave_DS equivalent for stove can you help? If you look up Object_Stove in the tuning list you will see the one you need.
If you are ever unsure what the name of a tuning item is for a specific item you can open up the package and go:
Warehouse > Object Definition > Scroll to the bottom and you will see the tuning.
Example: here is the BG "Cooking-U Pro" stove.

I would love to see the ability to change and move the light source. Where you could like pan around a clothing item that was being worked on to inspect textures and such without having to go in game. This could even just be like a scrollbar or something that will move the light source in X,Y,Z.

I am trying to do an override set of recolors of the Rugs-N-Camaraderie rug from My First Pet Stuff.
I am using a DDS texture with an alpha (using the games alpha from that shape rug [as pictured])
When I put the .package file in my game the texture on the rugs are missing and all black (when placed indoors). Outside the rugs look fine.
and this is how I see it in S4S

Desserts as Baking Mod
What do we want? Consistency! When do we want it? NOW!I found it quite weird that EA has left some dessert items in the cooking category, when we all know they should belong in baking! This mod will simply move all items that are desserts from the Cook and Gourmet cooking menus to the Bake menu, and the not so dessert type items to Cook! So now your baking menu is for all actual dessert and bread baked goods! I will continue to update this mod as new content is released. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Does this mod change cakes to the baking skill?A: No, This mod makes no changes to the recipes themselves, this mod just re-categorizes the recipes.Q: Will you change the recipes to the baking skill?A: I will in the future, I plan to make adjustments to many recipes.Q: Will this mod work with ___ ?A: This mod works with everything, as long as it does not change the "StartCrafting" tuning for the Stove/Fridge. Recipes moved from Cook to Bake: Cake Chocolate Cake Strawberry Cake Blue Cake Apple Pie Chocolate Chip Cookies Black & White Cookies CarobCake Spooky Cookies Corpse Cake Hamburger Cake Pan De Muerto Heart Cookies Fruit Cobler Recipes moved from Gourmet Cook to Bake: Baked Alaska NYC Cheesecake Black & White Cake White & Black Cake Wedding Cake Almond Macaroons Fruitcake Tiramisu Recipes moved from Bake to Cook: Onion Quiche Shepards Pie Quiche Fish PieBelow you will find photos of what the menus look like in game with this mod: Built using Game Version: 1.42.30 Requires: ALL GAME PACKS up to Jungle Adventure **Note: The game packs that have not added any new foods are not needed, any pack that added a new cooking item are required for this mod! This mod was created with all game packs installed. If you find a issue if you are missing a specific pack please let me know.Compatibility:- This mod works with custom food! Such as the ones by The Food Group: Plastic Box, Icemunmun, Necrodog, and OhMySims.- This mod also works with GrayCurse’s Cooking & Ingredients Overhaul! - This mod DOES NOT work with any mod that changes the following tuning: fridge_Cook fridge_CookGourmet fridge_Bake_Startcrafting stove_StartCrafting stove_CookGourmet stove_Bake_StartcraftingNOTE: This mod does not change the recipe requirements for any of the items moved. It has only changed the catigory location of each of the recipies. I will be creating more cooking mods to accompany this mod in the future, including:1. Change recipe for each item to require baking skill not cooking/gourmet.2. Full cooking and Ingredients Overhaul3. Add more custom recipes4. Rework of EA recipes
DOWNLOAD REMOVED
I will no longer be maintaining this mod. If you enjoyed this mod, check out Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul This mod is included in that one, plus more!

Sweet Escape NurseryAs requested, here is the Sweet Escape Nursery set from The Sims 3 for The Sims 4! Included in this set is a bookshelf, easel, poof chair, dresser, lamp, toy chest (not pictured), mirror, baby crib, toddler bed, and activity table. The mattress for the toddler bed and crib are separated so you can choose your favorite color bedding! All items come in 11 maxis match woods. Except for the mattresses and poof chair which come in my 30 color palette.
The Activity table requires Parenthood. If you do not have Parenthood do not install this item. It is in its own folder in the .zip file.
The baby crib requires you to use a “baby without crib” mod to make it functional.
- Comes in: 30 Srsly Colors & 11 Maxis Match Woods - Base Game & Parenthood Required Standalone - This item will not override any other item #TS3Conversions #BaseGame #Conversion #decor #comfort #Parenthood #storage #activities #kids #toddler #baby

SO I was able to get my custom mesh to work I just had to take a few extra steps.
I cloned the Pandora (base game) toybox. Extracted the meshes for all LOD's from the Traveling Trunk (parenthood). Imported all the LODS for traveling trunk into Pandora clone. Used the Traveling Trunk blend to append my new meshes. Then imported my new mesh into the Pandora clone.
Didn't crash the game and works fine.

Hi SrslySims, there is an issue with Studio's new geostate feature that causes it to make a game-crasher on certain items no matter what you do. This problem will occur even with just a round trip of the item. The problem is under investigation and will be fixed. There is little doubt in my mind that there is nothing you are doing to cause this - you have probably run into one of the geo-items that Studio cannot manage correctly yet. If you want to test the toybox to see for sure if it's one of those items, you can do a round-trip test. That involves exporting and re-importing the original mesh into the package and testing that in the game. In reading a later one of your posts, it sounds like you did a sort of round trip using the mesh from a different EA toybox, but I cannot be sure. Could you describe the sequence of steps you took that resulted in a clone of this toybox functioning properly (not crashing) in the game? Glad to know it wasnt something wonky I did. I was starting to rack my brain at all of the things that could have gone wrong. I tried taking the mesh from the pandora box and exporting it fully, and reimporting it back into all the correct LODS of the same pandora box. No issue in game. I also tried taking the chomper Base Game toybox and exporting it, and importing it into the pandora clone (with all LODS). This crashed the game. I also just tried to take the traveling trunk, that did actually have the shadow pane and importing it into the pandora clone. Removed the _IKTarget_ Vertex group (since the pandora box doesnt have this line). No issues in game.
