Nymphatina cool! I would pretend that I know where in America Mississippi is, but my Geography is terrible... I have always wanted to visit America though because I love the American accent (especially mens... swooooon ahhhhhhhhhhh). Maybe it's just because I've grown up around the British accent (and not always the posh one, mind- sometimes I have to be subjected to the chavy accent). midnightsky awesome! Remind me again, what is the climate like? I seem to have it in my head that it's sort of a tropical, sunny place but it's also cold? Please put my suspicions to sleep haha c:

So, I've been making Custom Content for a month, but I had a short break so I am rather rusty. I have made one creation before and it got a lot of downloads so I guess it was good. Anyway, I've just started trying to make my new creation and this keeps happening: The texture goes on the mesh but also goes flush to the body? Why is this? I never had this issue before so can someone refresh my memory?

coolkittykat make sure that the view is in front mode (the bottom panel should say'view'- click on that and click 'front'). Then, go to edit mode and look at the side panel and you should see the UV map. Use the 'b' key and drag the mouse to select the part that you want to delete. Then, make sure your mouse is hovering over the sim (if it's still hovered over the UV map it doesn't delete). Press the'x' key and click delete.

Also, I would suggest exporting multiple textures from base-game items, such as gloves and those legging thingies. Keep in mind, however, there is no base-game mesh for that spider body (I'm guessing that's what it is), so you would have to make that part of the mesh from scratch. With the gloves, if you want them to be flush to the skin, all you need to do is to export the texture of the gloves and then put the texture onto the nude top mesh. However, if you want to make it come slightly off the skin, you will need a mesh for that. If that doesn't make sense, you can ask me more questions (I'm in a rush right now so I can't explain in too much detail C:)

Hi! Like Eviltitip said, the mesh is the general shape of the outfit and the texture is the different 2D part that makes up the patterns, shapes, etc.
(I'm not sure what your CC experience is like, but just in case I'll list some programmes that I use and their uses)
. Sims 4 (obviously, to get the base-game meshes) . Blender (if you are simply recolouring/changing the texture, you don't need this- blender is only for changing the mesh) . Paint.net (this is to create your custom texture/change it to Direct Draw Surface - DDS - so that it can be imported as a texture.
If you need to ask any more questions, I'm sure a lot of members of the community will be able to assist you c:

Hi, Once you have created your mesh, have you exported the UV map to use it in paint.net to make your original textures? Because this is really helpful and what I use to make accurate textures. If you have not done this and would like me to explain more, I can help you with that if you wish or I can link a pre-made tutorial for you if you do not understand the one that Feyona gave you above. Also, don't worry about asking questions- this is what the Creator Help section is for! When I started not too long ago, I was asking questions left, right and center. Please don't hesitate to ask creators who have experience for help c:

Do you mean joining two meshes as in, for example, you wanted to join a top and a skirt to one mesh so that they combine to one piece? If so, all you need to do is click on Mesh A, then hold shift and click the other meshes that you want to join together. Then you press control/command j to join them together. They should be joined now c: If this isn't your problem, please could you describe your problem more so that I can sort it? Thanks!

Sadly innocent :C When I was 11, I went to a concert for The Wanted LMAO- I appreciate classical rock such as Nirvana (they are more grunge but okay), Bullet For My Valentine, Queen, etc, but for more 'modern' rock/alternative, if My Chemical Romance was still together, I would want to see them, also I would love to see Panic! At The Disco, Brendon Urie is my baby.
Have you ever beaten someone up, either out of self defence or because they got on your nerves?

Feyona Hi, thanks for getting back to me. My game does have empty bubbles that should say 'water' when you click on a sink or 'have a quick snack". However, I do not have any of the mods that are listed. Before I uninstalled it, I did switch mods off and the problem was still occuring and as I said, I believe that something went wrong in the update as it happened as soon as the gender update was installed. My game has been installing for about 15 hours, still have a few hours to go. It's killing me, shows how much I am addicted to playing Sims :C

Mathcope I tried repairing the game via Origin twice, but it did not solve my issue :C it's been downloading for about an hour and a half and it's only 5% >:( I envy those online who were annoyed that it took them an hour to download! It's going to take me days!

@stevenssimsstuff the EA advisor told me to reinstall everything :C and also, thanks for your PC advice, but honestly, I use my laptop literally just for Sims 4 and making custom content, so tbh, there would be no point in getting a proper PC.

Quick update: if anyone else is encountering this problem, I chatted to EA support (for Sims 4) and they said that I had to uninstall and re-install my game :C but make sure you backup files that you would want to keep (Custom music, mods, recorded videos, screen shots and tray, if you downloaded houses on sites such as TSR).

@stevenssimsstuff I don't play in laptop mode because it makes my custom content look like this: I'm not entirely sure it's got something to do with the graphics as I have adjusted my graphics fittingly for the poor quality of my laptop (it's a Lenovo and it runs Windows 10- if I hadn't have just bought my iPad, I would buy an iMac because I seriously love everything Apple and despise everything that is not Apple related). Anyway, since this problem has occured, I have adjusted my graphics settings to no avail- I believe that somethingn went wrong during the updates as it's probably something to do with broken programming :C I've looked my problem up on Google but no one else seems to have this problem. If no one can help me here, I may have to email EA support team.
