Merman Simmer , The problem was that the new bones had an orientation of 0,0,0,0. It needs to have Identity (Identity is the same as 0,0,0,1) instead of 0,0,0,0. Changing this and re-exporting your animation from the package caused it to show in Blender as it did in game. To fix this, I exported the modified rig again with no animation, and appended your animation to the fixed rig. Here it is in game: @luvmebby , if you post the package someone can take a look at the rig problem.

UPDATE 4:48PM I was choosing Clone all the time and I didn't choose override!
UPDATE 5:18PM Okay I got it working. It seems like the hair is custom animated if I'm wrong...
UPDATE 6:37PM It's finally working! Best thanks to Merman and Andrew!

As autobanned said there seems to be a limit at 180 bones.
Below this limit everything's fine, but one bone above the limit and you get a crash to desktop upon loading a sims lot.
Any idea where this limit comes from ? S4 Studio or game engine ?

This time I got an error message upon crashing to desktop.
Translated in english that should say :
Looks like a memory issue.
Does someone know how to go past the 180 bones limit ? :(

Does anyone know if it possible to edit the rig in blender and then have the new bones import into a package file as a override rig?

I'm afraid the only way is to go through the tutorial in first page of this topic.

Hi REDFACTION and autobanned, If you are sure that you added the 180th bone in the same way that you added other bones, then it is probably a limitation of the game engine or the Sim shader. There is nothing in Studio that would do anything differently after 179 bones. You could ask the game developers at their forum: forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/technical-discussionsSometimes they will answer questions like this. If you do, I'd suggest providing example packages of one with additional bones that doesn't crash, and one that does. Short of that, the only thing that I could suggest is that you try to re-purpose other bones that you could live without and see if that works.

To the above, I would like to add, Studio was developed and is supported to work with EA's system for this game. If people want to add extra bones, use giant images, add 50 gazillion swatches, or experiment in other ways that's great. However, if experiments like this do not work in the game or crash Studio, there is little we can do about that. We are not actively developing Studio to fly in the face of the standard set by EA's Sims 4 code.

I was worried about that. Too bad :( We are not actively developing Studio to fly in the face of the standard set by EA's Sims 4 code.
I am not asking you to fly in anyone's face
I just wanted to know your opinion on that. Could have been a bug in Studio or a mistake I did. andrew do you know if this limitation could be overrided by a python script or if it's a core limitation ?

REDFACTION, this would not be something that could be modded with python. Again, I'd suggest either removing/re-purposing existing bones, or contacting EA at the link I posted above.

Sometimes I receive errors when adding new bones or I have done something wrong with the rigs. Normally I do not spam to awake in any threads what's my problem. ==================== Anyone made an animated person feel on the chair at the back? I feel like to try to get that work.
