So, the male to female/female to male is not always 'smooth' or look attractive in the other sex due to the way that EA has the meshes morph to fit the other sex. Though, this causes a lot of issues with custom meshes. I was thinking of releasing a male and female version of one outfit. However, I am wondering, is it possible to add two meshes to the LOD's; one for female and one for male. This way, there won't be any quality issues when switching between genders. Or, will I have to make two .packages: one for male and one for female

I would do it the easy way and make a .package for each one. Restrict them to not show for the opposite gender and then you can merge the packages. I'm not a CAS expert, so if there's a way I'm don't really know, but that's what I would do.
