Hello everyone I'm sorry in advance if this is either a stupid question or has been answered somewhere else in a different post. I'm trying to turn an item into an accessory in Sims 4. I've followed the tutorial here www.sims4studio.com/thread/10/tutorial-using-sims-studio-accessory from orangemittens, which is great! However I still have some trouble at the end and not really being knowledgable on blender item creation (just at making poses ^^") I'm a bit stuck.. I'd be thankful if someone can help me out :D Ideally I'd like to have my sims being able to carry this..gas tank or whatever it's called, around with them. So I followed the tutorial and replaced the object, although I used an earring like in the tutorial and now I'm thinking that since it goes on the hand it would have been better to have used a ring perhaps? Cause I guess it will move with the head now instead of the hand? :P But that's not a problem, I can redo it with a ring if necessary. The problem is the texture, that doesn't fit cause it used the earring one, and I can't import the item one cause they are different sizes and one is horizontal while the other is vertical. :/ Clearly rotating it is not the solution XD So the item looks like that in game :/ I tried to export a ring from the studio just to check but the texture is still vertical :/ What should I do to fix this, if possible? Thank you in advance for any reply ^^

You need to take an image of the uv_0 map and what is the .dds/or .png texture are you using?

Thank you for your reply I believe you mean this? i.imgur.com/qa2PJTH.pngIt's called DIFFUSE.001, I kinda saved it from inside blender.. if that's what you mean. But when I try to either replace or add a new swatch inside Studio, it says this : your image size is 512x256. The game requires 1024x2048 >.<

You have to manually edit the texture of the object onto the accessory texture in the appropriate space. And then edit the UV as well to match that modification. Importing the same mesh and the same texture isn't enough.

Sorry for me being stupid >.< by "edit the texture of the object onto the accessory texture in the appropriate space", to put it in easier word, you mean I should make an image of 1024x2048 size which contains the texture of the gas tank of the same size and in the same spost of the ring texture? Not sure I understood correctly :P
Looks like this may be out of my league maybe, cause I'm not really sure what the girl in the video is doing, hahah :P

You can either export the texture of the accessory you cloned to see exactly where you should place the object's texture, or take a look at the map i shared that holds the rest of the accessories in case you want to use another space. But yes, that is what you have to do.
As for the video, you're not going to understand it by looking at it in case you're not used to the program or haven't done any type of editing in blender. So try replicating what she's doing that is selecting the mesh and telling you how to move the uv map around to fit your texture.

Sorry, where is the map you shared? When I click on that link it goes back to this page, am I missing something?
