For me Adfly is a no go. I remember having to do a factory reset of my laptop due to it. Since then, it's blacklisted on my system.

orangemittens - I certainly respect your decision. A year or so ago, adfly wasn't as bad, you waited for the ad and then the page with the item link would load up and there was no issue. It seems that now however, adfly has become downright aggressive in forcing people to download what they want people to download. Avoiding pages with adfly is a good strategy but sometimes an item just begs to be downloaded. 8-)

That Jason Vorhees mask, if that's the one you mean, doesn't show an adfly icon, it should be safe. I tried it and got the mask to download without any problem. Edit: sorry wrong user, I found the costume you meant, all those go through adfly and you will need to install adfly skipper for whatever browser you are using. Another edit: Check out Cepzid Sims, they (he,she) have some pretty cool stuff and their links goes right to the simfileshare page. Here is a link: sims4studio.com/thread/6813/cepzid-conversion-another-costume-channelAnd the stuff you might be interested starts halfway down page 2 with some resident evil stuff, Jason is on page 3, so happy hunting.

I try to avoid adfly, unless there's custom content I really want. Luckily, I've never had any problems with it and I just pause my adblock briefly.
I appreciate creators that include both an adfly + non adfly link to their content, at least you're given the option that way. I would never use it on any stuff I make because I don't think it's right to potentially jeopardise another persons computer privacy or security for the sake of a small profit. The ads themselves look dodgy and the pages it redirects you to are questionable.

I was ok with adfly. But now some creators are using 2-3 multiple routing links, so you have to sit through 3 adfly links (or more dunno, I never wait to see how many and just give up after awhile), using adnote or other misleading rerouting sites. That is just convoluted misleading and I won't even bother with those creators anymore sadly.
But if is like one adfly link I might click. I tried to use adfly once in my blog creations, but the amount you get is so so so small (no wonder some people are using multiple adflys for one item), is just a bother to me and others. I was going to create those things for myself anyways so, if you want to give me $ just click the one or 2 google ads that sometimes show in the side of my blog. At least is a less invasive and trusted thing.
I thought of putting a donation button, but I don't want to feel like I am making people having to donate etc. So I just didn't lol.

I'm okay with adfly and the principle behind it in general, if only the ads were monitored better. There's way too much bad stuff going on. I'm still wondering why some creators think it's about not wanting to wait for 5-15 seconds while it's actually about not wanting to risk my computer. And I personally think this is a damn good reason for not downloading cc through adfly.
