Hi elliebellyx, are you double clicking on the .blend in your folder or on the Blender app itself? If you're double clicking the .blend could you post the .blend that is giving this result?

Just wondering if you can save all the .png files, .psd or anything other than package files in another location for all your recolours, swatches and changes to say the desktop folder and then only put only the .package files into the mods section of the game Sims 4, so you don't have too many unnecessary files in mods without it affecting gameplay - e.g. footprint missing, script fail or any of the other errors that can come up or does this have nothing to do with it? Sorry also if this is a stupid question, I'm very new to "attempting" to create my own content/recolouring" on a mac.

The only file that must go into the mods folder to test the content is the .package. Other files could be anywhere, furthermore, it's better to keep them away the mods folder. Footprint missing, script fails and such don't have anything to do with having extra files in the mods folder. I think it's better to place them elsewhere just because it's a cleaner way to be organized with your content. So the game doesn't have to go through each file sorting which ones are packages and which ones are not. It's fine to ask as many questions as you need . If you have a current project in the making you can also ask in the Creators Help section for more indepth help.

Oh thanks so much. Much appreciated. I'm feeling exceptionally overwhelmed by Blender but have gotten to the save point in blender of the above tutorial but it won't work. I have tried restarting and doing the steps again but when I get to the save the UV file - export UV it just says unresponsive. I was previously able to save it and saved as a .png but when I tried to open in Photoshop it shows zero bytes which immediately tells me something is wrong and said "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file"., now it just crashes and won't allow me to save. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

If you post your .blend, someone can take a look.

wished it was easy to add things to forum chats. I'm used to being able to click and attach to direct files, not links. I will try and add the screenshot of me trying to save the file. i.imgur.com/wbujQZz.pngi.imgur.com/rNL18ip.pngI am currently uninstalling blender and reinstalling it again just in case it's a simple fix. Still seems to be happening. It becomes unresponsive and freezes when trying to export UV Layout. This is getting ridiculous. I have tried many things such as choosing different images to link with the file in Blender as well as using different package files from Studio and exporting the mesh and trying but still getting the same problems and it says it saves a copy, even though it's empty and saying unresponsive. These files don't work as I have tried also.
