Ive Recolored for DAYS. Some to copy Maxis for children and toddlers and some of my own. However in the game no matter what colors I choose from my recolors I almost always get Platinum children! Very occasionally I get a random recolor but it doesnt match the parents nor does the color age up! Ive tried renaming them to give them numbering codes similar to Maxis. Ive also tried it without. Im so confused now. Please if anyone knows a FIX I would really appreciate it SOOOO MUCH!!! Thank you.

I don't remember anything like genetics in Sims 4. My sims kids always have random hair colors and random eye colors even with EA's content.

Playing the game if I have one parent with black hair and one with blonde, my children will have black or blonde hair or occasionally a random red. The same goes for all hair colors other than the adult unnatural colors. I found some unnatural child colors which are Maxis match genetics. Say if two Hot Pink Parents have a child then it would have hot pink hair. Downside is the person who made the child colors only did it for children and for some of the EP's.... So now Im trying to make them for toddlers as well in addition to adding my own. Ive added my new colors to all the toddler, children and adult hair. Still not working. My question is how did those people do it for the children, supposedly using this program and have them work. I see nothing special about their naming process. If I figure it out or find a way to get in touch with that person then I will post it here.

So here's what I've discovered. If I create Maxis match unnatural colors for children and toddlers with the same names and tags, then children born will have the same hair colors as the parents. Other than the random colors that show up. However custom colors do not necessarily transfer genetically. Although, the children born to the parents with custom hair colors tend to have custom hair colors also, just not always the same as the parents. I have made all my hair colors as default replacements because I've also changed the regular brown, blonde, red, orange, etc. colors to be more vibrant. So I'm still searching for a way to make my lemon lime hair genetic and carry on to the next generation. ,
