I have been at this for 4 days on and off. The good part is that I have learnt a lot about Blender. What I thought would be very easy to do. Was not. Have tried a few different ways to try to get the split in a base maxis long skirt. Please do not take any notice of the shadows. Shortly after I took the pictures. I worked out what the problem was. I updated the package to show this. Have tried to change the cut. Results 3 which it is at now. 0=a pair of ladies undies. 2 and 3= texture spike on one breast. Cuts are numbered the same as the maxis mesh.
The texture seems to be picking up any textures in the same area as my texture from the tops. What I mean is the Uv area. It is only on the back. All shapes and sizes. some long tops are alright Short tops seem to be fine
It is driving me crazy as to why. I made the split then added the legs. Did some thing wrong and learnt from my mistakes. And started again. Went through a few tutorials trying to fix the problems. Until I got to here.
I wanted the skirt to make a set of African themed top, skirt and dress cover. I could download one but I am sick of finding clothes with no mesh in my CC folder. So thought I would make my own.
Do I need to make a second layer like with transparent skirts??? That is fun to do. Mine you I found a tutorial here which explains how a lot better.
I combined the skirt meshes and had a separate mesh for the legs. Bleed problem as well. Tried to cut a skirt from a dress and make the split. No. A lovely black colour. Back when I knew so little.
My thoughts are that it has something to do with the fact that there is no base at the bottom like a normal mesh has.
Is there a step which I do not know about??? Is there a tutorial for this type of Frankenmeshing????
