I've watched it multiple times and thought all times that it was looking very realistic. I like the way you actually see she's balancing. And after a couple of times I also saw she closed her eyes. Great job!

Thank you, I tried quite hard to do the small bits to make it look as realistic as possible, but I think the only reason it looks alright is because it's supposed to be a smooth Yoga pose, I have no idea how EA do their animations sooooo good.

Nice work lynq. EA most likely has actors dress up in suits that place a marking device by each joint. These markers are used to record the movement of the joints in relation to one another and the data is then transferred to a fully rigged character. Once that's done an animator cleans up the resulting clip. The rig that we have from the game is, without a doubt, a stripped down, bare-bones version of the rig EA uses when making their animations. This is a big reason it's difficult to work with and almost impossible to get into certain positions gracefully.

Ahh ok, I don't feel so bad now I better get pMauz into a blue suit with joint marks on it! lol. I think i'll keep doing some animations they are really fun, but they are so difficult to try and make them not feel wooden.

Look up - "IK Rigging" on You Tube, and the same for Blender scripts. You can import a custom Skeleton to do more complex Posing, it's just Assigning the Mesh parts to the Skeleton Rig - That is the Hard Part. Best of Luck!

In order to make a pose or animation that will work in the game you must only use joints that are on the EA rig joint list. While it's possible to animate the model using some other rig this isn't going to result in a functional CLIP that will go back into the game.

One thing I did find helped a lot with making animations smoother is to bring in a pose from a current one so your sim looks like it should from the start. I'll have another go if I can think of something easy to do, maybe a body building pose or something :p

I was under the impression that you could, in theory, rename the custom imported rig areas with the same names as EA's. I still have not attempted this, due to it's insanely Tedious.
