Note that this fix will remove your ambient occlusion completely from your game, but I figured it's easier to do this until someone comes out with a batch fix - or EA fixes it themselves. Step 1Go to your C drive (Or wherever you installed Origin) >> Program Files (For me it is X86) >> Origin Games >> The Sims 4 >> Game >> Bin -Search for graphic rules in your search bar (mainly because I don't know exactly where it is stored) *Open with Notepad (Or a similar software) Step 2 - Find SSAO with Cntrl F (Command F if you're on mac) Step 3Set 'true' to false. You want to do this for the light setting that you use (Medium-Very high). You can see in the above picture, i only ever use very high lighting setting, so i only changed it for that. However, If you frequently use different settings, You probably want to change all of the SSAO to false (Note that it is already set to false for Low setting, That's actually how i found this fix) Want proof it works? No problem. here's pics of a backdrop I made. (Also p.s the pose pack in the pic is mine, found at my tumblr @brokensims-ts4) One on the left is with SSAO enabled. One on the right is without. NOTE: THIS IS A TEMPORARY FIX. IT WILL DISABLE SSAO. (For me it wasn't a big deal disabling this setting because i use reshade. You keep the cool light effects too since you only disable one setting). For now we can only hope that EA will fix this, since it was not an issue before the patch.

What is ammbient occlusion? Ambient occlusion in Sims 4 stimulates some shadows (For example: Where the floor meets the wall, there will be a shadow there, In Sims 4 that is handles with Ambient Occlusion). I recommend you google it since I'm bad at explaining. All I can really say for sure, is that the SSAO (Screen Space Ambient occlusion: basically means simulating ambient occlusion but in real time) Is really subtle in Sims 4 and personally I do not think it is that worth it. Especially if you use the AO on reshade ( A post processing program)

I really with there was a batch fix for this. I didn't have problems with this issue until 2 months ago. Not sure why it took several months later to affect my game.
