I edited an EA Mesh in blender which was a sweater from the spa day pack to a crop top but the stomach was missing so I appended a bikini top mesh, deleted some faces that was poking through at the top and then joined the meshed together and saved and imported the mesh into s4s and the crop top came out like this. ( the bit underneath the crop top shouldn't be there. Could someone help me out please. ,

hi! you have to edit the texture and delete the part of the sweater that is overlapping the skin to match your mesh edit as well (main layer and alpha channel).
you can head over your sweater blend file, go over the uv screen and export the uv (bottom down menu :uv/export uv) and overlay that image into your image editor to see exactly how much you should be deleting.

My guess is your UVMapping isn't right. It looks like perhaps your belly is overlapping the texture. It is hard to see without a blend file available.

Please share the blend and package (both files) as suggested above so that someone can explain things better than guessing.
both sweater and top body parts should be 1 mesh group. I mention deleting the overlapping part from the texture, not the mesh.

If I understand correctly, then there is no overlapping section of texture to be removed. And there is no mesh to be removed either. It appears to be a simple case of the UV needing to be fixed. I'm guessing the sweater and the bare stomach are both mapped to the same area as the OP mentions that they simply appended the stomach from another mesh but they never say they edited the UV mapping at all.
