Playable Pets Mod preventing Sims from cooking?

I don't think it's the mod or any mod.  I've had a problem with the menu options for cooking,baking,gourmet cooking since the 1.37 update. I can click on cook for example but no menu options show up at all.  I can have quick meals and some options come up under cook breakfast,lunch etc.

I've tried with a completely vanilla sims 4 game and it is still the same, no mods in sight apart from the updated 1.37 sims 4 studio with which I did the batch fixes resulting in no improvement.

I'm also having issues with the Play With options on chess,darts,football,play fetch with ball in sims inventory. I can select play with but nothing happens at all.

I think these problems are related as they are interactive menu options.  I haven't figured out how to fix this yet.

I might try uninstalling the sims4 studio as this is the only mod that is in play at the moment.  If it works I'll let you know.
