I'm new to frankenmeshing hair and I followed this tutorial but when I imported the hair mesh in S4S, it didn't show up. I don't know what I did wrong and here is a link to the blender file in case it helps.

Is the cut number the same as the original EA mesh? The way cut numbers work in s4s is to indicate which mesh part to change. The original file and the new mesh need to have the same type and cut numbers as shown below:

Since I used three different hair meshes into one, how would I put the type and cut numbers?

you put several hair meshes right? The one you're changing it to on sims 4 studio, for example, if you have bangs and a long hair and you decide to mesh the two together, if you have the long hair as the "base" on your sims 4 studio that's the one you're going to copy the cut number from.

most hair meshes only have three cuts. which means there are also three geometries, or three separate meshes, in the workspace. you cannot import your new mesh without matching these cuts.
s4studio_mesh_1 = 0000 s4studio_mesh_2 = 0001 s4studio_mesh_3 = 0002
you have to merge all of your frakenmesh into one mesh. then either create the two hat chops that are needed or just copy and paste it twice.

I've done all that so I think it's just S4S that isn't working for me. It's already very laggy and I often have to force quit the application because it won't respond.

Hi! If you're having issues with S4S, please read the TROUBLESHOOT PAGE and check everything that is written there. If you want someone to take a look at your project, please share the .package and .blend (BOTH) files.

Please share the .package anyway to see if the issue is on your end or something else.

umm... What do you mean by "my mesh isn't importing?" I can see your modified hair in your package. You mean the rest of the LODS? I imported the blend into LOD1 and imported just fine. If you're referring on how the texture is being displayed then that is due to the fact that you've mixed several parts of different meshes which their UV's composition & texture layout is different. Depending which base texture you use, the mesh will look better or worse.. and that is because you have to pick a texture and move the UV of the other parts you added to mold them to that texture. Your blend is currently displaying 3 different textures at once and that is not how the game reads it. It will only read the texture you import in your package. I suggest importing your hair into the pony tail instead of the hair you cloned.. since most of the mesh is from the original pony tail. That leaves the bangs (which you should move or add the bangs texture manually into each texture if there's space left) and the sides. To delete the other textures and see your mesh how it will be displayed in game then you'll have to select the second and third and delete them by pressing the minus button next to it. Then you can go to the next tab, select the hair's texture and pick another image if that isn't the one you want from the bunch.
