Hi! is this for personal use? have you asked the creators about these conversions?
Please explain in detail what the issue is and share a picture of the problem in game.

It's for personal use, i Don't know how the creators feel, and i wouldn't know how to get a hold of them both sites are gone now. I figured they wouldn't mind me doing it for my personal use so long as i didn't like upload it to share or anything. The pictures and the files are all in the link i provided, but ill try to insert the images here too. Transparent bits are taking on color instead, the hairs part is all funky, theres hair missing on the side of the head in one of them and that ones bangs are being weird.

on both of them, you never made them simglass, which actually makes them transparent in sims 4. you need to go into the warehouse, and under each geometry, change the simskin to simglass. that's all i can see right now, but i'll inspect it a little more later to try to figure out what's with the black lines and everything else. a little busy right now lol

hi! you haven't shared the files. apart of what's been already said, it looks like the uv is taking up space outside the boundaries of the hair texture space. You can't export the original EA hair texture and check if it's correctly placed. texture map: i.imgur.com/ORZNLgm_d.jpg

I don't want the entire hair transparent, just the places where there shouldnt be hair. I made them simglass like you said but the part is still weird on the green hair and now they both are too transparent, and you can see through their head all weird.

this is because the meshes were not made correctly. can you please point me in the direction you got these hairs from so i can see if there is a way to do it differently?

i think the only way to fix that transparency issue is by literally taking the mesh apart and practically remaking it. unless you have the mesh before there were backfaces put on it, you will literally have to go in and delete the backfaces manually. then follow the steps on this tutorial, starting at step 9. the head is only shown through the hair because of how the mesh is made. to really understand the issue, you'll have to be educated on how alpha hair works. adding simglass was correct. the only way to see actual hair strands without it looking like a plane is by adding simglass to the geometry. simglass was not intended by the game developers to be used on hair so there are a lot of problems hair creators can run into. this is one of them. it's a very simple fix, like extremely simple, but in your case, it will be very time-consuming and maybe even hard if you do not have the mesh before there were backfaces.

it's something simple and easy to learn. if you don't want to do it yourself, you can always ask someone else. it truly isn't as complicated as i may have made it sound. i'm sorry if i may have freaked you out any.

as far as i know, the easiest way to do it is to use 3ds max to go in and select each backface and delete it. i do not know of any tutorials on that. but you also may not want to learn a new program so
