Does Sims 4 Studio support other 3d modelling programmes? I primarily work in Maya, Poser and Daz Studio and wonder if I can use those programmes instead of Blender with Sims Studio? I will use Blender if its what is compatible with Sims Studio.

hi! welcome to s4s the only thing compatible with s4s is blender 2.70 and blender 2.76. however, if you don't want to work in blender, it's totally fine. you can make your objects in whichever program you prefer and then later import it into blender.

I used Blender as a student when learning 3d modelling. I loved it in comparison to 3ds Max which was the programme I was taught but once Daz Studio came out with The Genesis Model it's been one of my go-to programmes since but I don't know if it'll work with Blender. I guess I can find out

Hi drakharis, some creators use 3DS Max to make their creations and then import the final item into Blender as a .fbx. I don't know if Daz supports this format, but if it does, that's what I would suggest using.

I exported as .obj when I was working in 3DS Max. Pretty much every program can export .obj files or have plugins for this.
