So, I have marvelous designer, blender, 3ds max, and sims4studio. i've been asking around to different sims 4 cc creators, and i was wondering if there are any beginner basic tutorials i could follow? I've already bookmarked one about marvelous designer, but, i've created two items in that program, but i didn't know what to do. the designs keep coming up with like missing parts and tears and such in blender, but they look fine in md. now that I have 3ds max, i'm planning on trying the other tutorial someone showed me and see if it helps, but i'm freaking out.
I keep trying to make different designs in md too, but it looks a mess.i honestly feel like i'm failing. this cc creating thing is hard work. i'm now trying out 3ds max for hair. y'all pray for me. oh, and one more thing, how do i save my hairs from 3ds max to use in blender/sims 4 studio??? any help would be so greatly appreciated. thank you.

Key words that creating CC is a hard work. For a beginner the easiest things to do are earrings. Something that attached to a single bone and doesn't need uv_1. Clothes and especially hairs are a nightmare to do when you have no clue what to do. I myself not a beginner but spent 2 weeks on making 2 piece clothing set readjusting weights, uv_1, drawing textures. Here is a master list of CAS tutorials. Look in "meshing" section for different tutorials. Choose one, follow one and don't jump from project to project until you conquer correct weight and uv_1. This way you will learn how to make clothes. If you are lacking base knowledge of how to repair holes, merge vertices etc. then look for video tutorials for specific program. There is no 1 tutorial fits all. Models from 3DS Max can be exported as .obj and fbx and imported in Blender. You might need to activate import-export .obj addon in Blender in File -> User preferences -> Import-Export -> Wavefron OBJ format and the same for FBX.

hi what kind of trouble are you having with your marvelous designer mesh, if you don't mind me asking? it loos good on md, but as i stated, it looks like there's holes in my items in blender. i followed a tutorial that i found on here, but it didn't work out the same way it did for the other person, and i guess that's what made me frustrated. as i stated, i have the tendency to jump from one project to the next out of frustration because i really want to learn it. i really want to make clothes, hair, accessories, etc, but i'm just getting upset because i keep messing up. which makes me frustrated. it's like a never ending loop.

Everyone gets frustrated. Sometimes I just put my project on a shelf and come back to it later if I get bored of it. But if it's something new that I am still learning how to do it is necessary to finish this stage, otherwise nothing will be learned. Some things are hard to get it right at the 1st attempt. Whenever I get frustrated or bored I jump to making something easy, like meshing and drawing textures for flower studs for toddlers. It helps to relax when you do something that you know for sure that you will make it work rather than starting a lot of difficult projects. Also if you are getting holes right in MD you need to watch more video tutorials about MD. Not the one that made by sims CC creators, but professional artists who work in MD. They create much more correct meshes and you will get a lot of useful tips on the side.

shaystylez we are similar, I'm glad I found these comments. I had been working on the tutorials on here for the earrings and they did not come out the same. Today I found out about Marvelous Designer, it looks like an easy tool to use, but I don't see any up-to-date videos about how to go from MD to the sims 4. Some tutorial videos that I found goes to fast and I cannot follow it, plus they do not talk in the video. How have you been doing since you posted here? Are there any helpful videos or even written tutorials that will help me learn how to convert the mesh into the sims4? Thank you, anyone
