I would like to create a custom event, Spring Equinox, and possibly more once I figure things out. Since I'm on a Mac I'm coming to the party a bit late but I do have some programming experience so I hope to catch up.
Looking through the tutorials I don't see one for something like this. Can I use Sims 4 Studio for my project? Is it possible to use it to export a social event so I can take a look at the structure and better understand it?
If you can point me to helpful tutorials here that apply I would really appreciate it. I've been searching and if they're here I'm definitely missing them. I did watch a few tutorials about altering the tuning for objects, but I really need something related to events if it exists.
Thanks!

You can create custom social events using "Sims4studio" Yes I suggest that You extract a pre existing social event from the "Extract Tuning" tab & then modify it to the new version that You'd like.
Looking at the game's tunings is the best way You can teach Yourself how to create mods, it might be a little complicated at the beginning but it all makes sense once You know what each code does. Trial error is Your bestfriend.

I don't have that option on my Mac for some reason. I have a friend with a PC who will extract it for me, hopefully I can still do the rest on my mac. My only PC access is at work and it would be a bit awkward to work on this there. Thanks for the advice!

Inside sims4studio "Tools" tab there's "Extract Tuning" option. Try that
