Not sure if my problem goes here or to the general area. But I have the textures needed to put everything into blender/s4s.
my problem is this When i used s3oc, i had to put in the file paths. no problem. When I left that menu, and went back to see if they stuck, they were not there. So the only objects I was able to select was the base game. When I went back to the download site there was a games file update. i followed the instructions. so when i went to save the gamefolders.xml file, where it was suppose to go, i get a failed - insufficient permissions notice and can not submit it. Any idea on how to get the file to save? And any idea on how to keep the file paths to my eps and sps in ts3 to stay in s3oc?
could use some help. If not able to help, would be nice to be guided to the right spot.
Thanks in advance...queenie

Hi! The Creator Help section is solely for support regarding Sims 4 Studio. I've moved your thread to the General Chat. CREATOR HELP FAQ.I suggest you check out a TS3 related forum or that program's forum if it has one.

ok thank you. Sorry for the inconvenience
actually the problem arose from following a tutorial that is on the S4S forum. Esmeralda's tutorial on extracting a ts3 file from s3oc and removing the necessary files.

there is not a forum for s3oc. that site is down. still looking for the issue and finding a solution. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know. Thanks in advance. I would really like some help for future conversions. I am sure other people would like the help too in case they come across this.

So what you want is to extract the mesh from the Sims 3 game for conversion. The best easy way is to Cline the mesh in TSRW and extract the meshes and the image files needed. Or do you have a problem with that too.

no I was able to clone the mesh from s3oc. But I know there are more laptops in ts3 than the base game. s3oc is not keeping the file paths for the eps and sps that i have in the cloner. I put the filepaths in for the appropriate eps and sps that I have. there is not an update button or a save button to click for that. but I have to exit out of it. then i go back to game folders to check and see if they stayed...and it resets to no filepaths for the eps and sps again. only basegame items show up.

I am about to give up on it all together.
