So I've tried all of the fixes that are suggested for bugs or error messages. But I'm getting this message that is starting to drive me nuts. I have used them together in the past, but just recently was trying to make something new. When I use blender 2.79a which is the newest version available I get a message in studio while trying to export the mesh that "The Sims 4 Studio requires Blender 2.70 to be installed, but it seems that you are using 2.79. Would you like to download and install version 2.70 now?". So I have tried uninstalling blender and downloading 2.70 instead, but when I do that a message comes up in blender saying that the object won't show up because it was created in version 2.79. Basically any time I try to open a mesh from studio it doesn't have anything show up and I just get the grid. I don't really know what else to try at this point. I've reset where studio should find blender. 2.70 also won't open by just trying to open the file any longer. I have to open it by running as an administrator. So maybe that is part of the problem? Any other suggestions or if someone has had this happen I would appreciate it so much! I'm tearing my hair out here with this.

Then use 2.76 version. It's written in instruction to Studio that it officially works only with 2 versions which are either 2.7 or 2.76. If one version doesn't work then download another as zip and unpack. You don't need to install every single version. Blender was made that way to allow users to have them as portable version.

I have downloaded both versions of blender separately and together to see if either works. Neither does and it gives me an error for whatever I use. I said I had tried all troubleshooting with includes downloading both versions separately because one may work, but that sadly isn't the case for me.

You told that you were using 2.79, not 2.76. So which one did you use?

Feyona, I believe they mean they are using a bit of both, if I read it right.

Feyona , I believe they mean they are using a bit of both, if I read it right. There is no way to link both versions in studio. If I asked about what version what used I needed to know what version is linked in studio’s settings.
