Hello everyone! Today I made literally my first piece of CC. The making and exporting the mesh was fine, but I am having a situation with the actual texture. Here is the mesh in Blender and here is the mesh in Studio. in blender imgur.com/MskadaLin studio imgur.com/Ya9CDEu(I had not put the texture yet)So after that, using this guide: imgur.com/piyVHG6
I placed it on the 'necklace 1' area. The texture was still messed up, so I deleted it. I tried 'necklace 2', but that didn't work either. Not only that, my necklace flies around in game and isn't properly positioned. Yikes. imgur.com/czRJiim
I'm also aware that I might have made a huge mistake somewhere as I am very inexperienced. Any help is greatly appreciated , I'll send screenshots if any more are needed. *Also if I made a mistake anywhere else feel free to inform me of this! Thanks in advance!

hi! congratulations on your first creation!. have you done the necklace from scratch yourself? I'm guessing that you only did the mesh but didn't mapped the object. you need to create its uv (that will tell the mesh where to get its texture from) and then place it in the space you want to use of the texture map. I suggest reading the following tutorials: - basic premise for importing accessories. vertex paint: sims4studio.com/thread/10/tutorial-using-sims-studio-accessory- weight transfer for your accessory (if you're not using blender 2.70, then don't forget the "clean" step): sims4studio.com/thread/81/weight-transfer-blender?page=1I suggest watching tutorials on YouTube to learn how to uv map. there's various ways to do it but I can suggest one.. it really depends on the object. in short, you need to uv map, weight m, vertex paint and probably do it's uv_1 if the necklace sinks into the sim. for both weight transfer and uv_1,I suggest using a nude top as reference mesh. watch this tutorial for uv_1 (must be done on blender version newer thank 2.70): if you need more assistance after reading and following the tutorials, please remember to share your blend and package files.

Thank you SOOO much for the weight paint tutorials ! My necklace is now positioned properly on the sim's neck, just how I wanted it. I'm still working on the UV and textures but thank you anyways! I really appreciate it.

No problem! please come again to this thread if you have any specific questions about your uv or something. Meshing isn't really suggested as a begginner's first item so it's a bit hard to share the knowledge i have right out the bat. Specially when there's several ways to do things depending on the object. but don't worry, and ask away!
