Hi. Thank you for this tool. I'm a total novice and have never made, recolored or altered any Sims item ever in all the years I've played. Since I downloaded S4S, I'd like to use it to replace colors on custom hair styles that I like, but, I don't like the colors and textures. I used the palette tutorial to make palettes using favorite hair colors and textures from hair artists in my collection, but, they only show up gray in S4S and CAS. I may need hair color tags, but, I don't know what color tags are or how to add them. Please help. Thank you!

can you share your package file? i'm a little confused as to how you're trying to recolor the hair.

are you trying to recolor the hair by just importing and exporting palettes? because that will not work. you'll need to manually go into your 2D editor and create a new hair texture or color overlay to then import onto your new swatch.

Thank you, annabluu. I tried using a 2D editor, but, the results weren't very good because I could never make the new texture overlap the replaced one completely. When the color palette option came out and creators were raving about how easy it was to use because you simply import new colors, I followed this tutorial hoping for success: sims4studio.com/thread/12761/use-studios-color-palette-feature . That's why I thought it would work if I added color tags.

Hi, AdonisPluto. I have a ton of your wonderful cc in my game Thanks. I actually started with the tutorial you suggested first, but, it didn't work for me because the swatches I used from other hairs didn't cover the original ones and none of them look like the ones in the tutorial. The palette looked like an easier and more versatile approach. Too bad it doesn't work for hair. I'm a total novice. I like easy lol Thanks to you and annabluu for your suggestions and to orangemittens for directing me here. I have some other stuff I'd like to learn, like converting my favorite Sims 2 and 3 cc to Sims 4, but, I will try not to be such a noob when I come by again. I appreciate this site and the generosity of the creators. Have a fabulous day!
