I've been wanting an Antinatalist trait for a while, but my attempts, even with tutorials, have utterly failed, so I decided to finally post and ask if someone is willing to make it. Antinatalism is a philosophical position that assigns negative value to birth. Antinatalists generally consider procreation to be immoral and often distressing because of the harm caused without consent, including death, that the child will be both victim and perpetrator of.
In short, the trait would share some of the Hates Children buffs, such as negative moodlets for pregnancy and birth, but wouldn't get angry at kids or be mean to them, and would still have positive reaction to adoption (if it's possible to distinguish that in game code). They also wouldn't get whims to Try for Baby, but could get whims to adopt, regardless of orientation. Bonus if it could be compatible with miscarriage and abortion mods that give positive moodlets to sims with the Hates Children trait. I don't know if those mods specifically check for that trait or modify it, or if there's a flag or something that could be used so an Antinatalist sim would automatically get whatever moodlets like that the (miscarriage/abortion) mod has provided.
I've also been really wanting the vegetarian trait from City Living as a reward trait. Since it's something most people come to later in life, due to experience after they've already developed a full personality, it's frustrating that it takes up a personality trait, and would make sense to get based on "satisfaction points" from your sim living and experiencing things. I think this would also apply well to the Antinatalist trait.
Finally, it would be awesome (especially if not making them reward traits) to have a trait that combines Antinatalism and vegetarian, as many antinatalists don't limit it to humans, and are vegetarian/vegan rather than pay industries to breed animals. This could also extend to Cats & Dogs. I'm not sure what all buffs and stuff there are for that, but they would have a negative reaction to animal pregnancy/birth, possibly whims to get their pets sterilized and a positive moodlet upon doing so.
I don't know what all the options are for making traits, buffs, etc. so I have some more ideas it would ideally include, but don't know if they'd be able to be implemented.
