So I am aware that there is already an interior designer career, but I don't see how it can be interior design when your sim just disappears. Anyways this was my favorite part of the sims 3 and i just want someone to bring it back *just a heads up I have no idea what goes into modding and can't help one bit in the project*
The idea:
So this is my idea I'm not sure if someone can actually make this but i think it would be really cool if you could. So thanks for reading.
The idea:
- So the sim works kinda freelance from 9am-5pm
- When work starts the sim gets a list of 3 households to visit and the player has to go to them manually through the map.
- When they get there they have to knock and greet the "client" and to start the job they should have a special chat option like "So what can i help you with today?" or something similar.
- When they activate it a notification bubble should pop up and tell the player different tasks to do and the clients requests should have specific details that could possibly get randomized from client to client
- Budgets (sims on the lower end can have budgets of like $300-$1,000, a middle range of $1,000-$2,500, and a high range of $2,500-$5,000)
- Specific Rooms this is a definite need. This way even if you've customized all the houses at least once you can still have clients to work with. This is also why i made the budgets kinda low. I also think this will make it a little more realistic because when people redo their homes they don't do more than one room at a time.
- Tastes and color needs I'm not exactly sure how you would make this work but I think it would be super important because if not I know I would probably give everyone the same looking house inside because certain objects just clearly look way better Some examples of this could be like if you designed a room for Mortimer Goth clearly he would want darker colors and a spookier theme to the room versus Malcolm Landgraab he's part of a more upper class preppy family so he might want lighter colors and rooms to be happy, bright, and modern.
- The player can only go into buy/build mode once and after they try to exit a notification should pop up asking if their sure they are done. this way when they enter play mode again time can do a little jump since play mode is paused when you enter building mode so this way the work day can jump ahead so people don't finish working super early in the morning.
- After the player finishes designing the room another notification bubble should pop up with the client rating the job you did you can either do poor, average, or amazing. This rating is based on did you stay in the budget? Did you only stay to the one room? So this means that even though your in build mode don't go messing with their whole house. Lastly, Did you use their specified colors and taste that they like?
- If the player gets the rating "amazing" on all 3 houses their work performance should go up a mark.
- To go up in the ranks being an interior designer you should have to level up painting and logic skills along with work performance.
So this is my idea I'm not sure if someone can actually make this but i think it would be really cool if you could. So thanks for reading.
