Hello! I was wondering... how can I add new swatches to merged .package files. I downloaded beautiful Override Hair Defaults for specific Game Expansions for example Vampires or Cats and Dogs. Now I want to add some my new swatches to them (as overrides, not additional). This is difficult, because I don't have a preview, only "warehouse". Do you have some ideas? ![]() |

mmm ... I'm not sure, but try exporting all rle2 images from the warehouse
close sims 4 studio and then add swatch from cas, if you share the file it would be easier for us to help you

This is a big file. Exporting and unmerging it would be very difficult. So how to add here additional swatches:   |

mmm..So, you want to do new recolors override? I will try it with my hair color, although I do not promise anything
I made a backup of my recolor of stay
before trying this
then .. you must export the rle2 image, modify it
import the rle2 image
If you want to replace all the colors override you must do the recolor
import that recolor and finally it will stay in the game
and ready
do not ask me how to change the thumbail like that because I do not know
it is not necessary to undo the merged

Hey! I understad - thank you that you want to help me. Although I don't want to override them, thus this merged package is override to base game hairs. I just want to add new colour hairs - i have them recoloured (everething is ready) - just don't know how to add them: - i have tried to add new but i don't know what to choose  - i also tried to DUPLICATE existing, so i can replace with my new color - but the instance number is the same and i don't know how to generate new one....  so... anyone? :( please help |

koralkol it sounds like what you are saying is that you have a merged package of hair recolors and you want to add more recolors to the same hairs. If you want to add your own colors without replacing the ones in that merged package, you don't need to edit the merged package, just create a new CAS package with the "Add CAS Part Swatch" option selected and choose the hair that you want to add swatches to. If that is not what you are trying to do, and you really do need to edit this merged, package, I would suggest un-merging it first (Click Content Management from the top menu and then Un-Merge Package).

Hey! Thank you for a quick response! So - like you said - I did create a new CAS package with the "Add CAS Pars Swatch" option selected - but there was a two problems: 1. First one was the that specific hair cas part recolors didn't show as thumbnails in game - just the ones from merged package I was talking about - but they was there, because when I was switching between ages the recolour showed up (but there wasn't thumbnail). MAYBE I am doing something wrong 2. Second problem is, that from this merged package file I don't know which hair is exact one - I mean - this is difficult for me to guess which hair i should choose starting a new "add cas part swatch" to recolour from this merged package file. |
