There's a very specific sim I have who's been giving me hair troubles for ages. There's ONE hair that works for him but it's not perfect, it has a weird fringe, so I went into blender and removed that fringe. But the original swatch I think was black, but the color I use in the sims is brown. I of course edited that mesh, the black one I guess, but the brown is not present. It's ONLY the black color in the game. So how do I add the brown and other colors back? The black one is the only one I saw when I edited it. Half of the files didn't load or had no images and the text was so small I couldn't see what I was even selecting. By Gods grace alone did I manage to find that one black one. I had added 59 mods sorted by searching 'hair' in my CC folder because I couldn't remember what the name of it was, since I had downloaded it so long ago.
So yes I edited a CC hair but this is for personal use as I do not plan to upload anywhere else.
edit: going back in i realized that what i couldn't see, squinting like crazy at the tiny text, was the separate colors
so how do i edit, mainly, the mesh and keep the colors? do i have to edit every single color individually? or is there an easier way to do this?

Hi! Would you like to have both in game? If you don't, you can simply open the original using "my projects" and editing the mesh from there. You can save the original as a back up.
Or when cloning, you need to select all the swatches. Select the first swatch of the hair, and then shift+clic the last and all will be selected. Then edit the mesh and save your clone. BOTH edited and original should be in your mods for the recolor to work.
