Hello, I applied edge split to remove the dark spots on my mesh but nothing happens. This method always work with extruded parts, but not in this region. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Here is the picture.
Thank you.

hi! please share the package and blend file. that looks like a specular issue to me, so I would check that texture if you've edited it. try re cloning the package from scratch as well.

Hi veridiana I am not sure what you have been doing wrong on your side with the edge splitting cause I could get those edge pretty neat on my end. Selected the edge on the uv and it went smoothly. Here is the resulting blend (was done with blender 2.70a) Not quite sure it will solve it fully as there might be more, but like you are using a black spec, cannot come from there (although you might wanna include an alpha to your spec as it can lead to issues otherwise)

Zelrish, thank you for your kindness. I was actually using Blender 2.79 for this, now I tried with 2.70 and it worked. I don't really know what is the difference between both apps, 'cause I thought 2.70 was only necessary for the weight transfer part. I'm still a dummy when it comes to working with Blender. Anyway, thank you so much! Zelrish & inabadromance.

Well, I first did it with 2.78, but like I played around on your mesh with the sculpting tool first I had to redo it xD And when redoing it I opened 2.70 instead. It doesn't really matter for things like edge splitting.
