Hiya firstly I was formally wildwitch but now am mysticmodder I'm making this thread for the express purpose of finding dedicated individuals who wish to embark on a very ambitious project.
What is the Project
The basic idea behind the project is to turn sims 4 into an adventure game with battles leveling and quests, I have spent the last few months looking through the tdescs and xmls for the sims for this project and have found some exiting things in regards to the project, cats and dogs are actually simobjects too which means it possibly opens the way for a whole host of monsters with their own animations. Quests are basically triggered situations and should be fairly easy to implement, then the actual spawners for the monsters should be easy enough to trigger only when a sim with the hero/adventurer trait shows up.
What skill sets are needed to complete the project
The project needs animation artists and object artists to see it complete though other coders are welcome as well, all I ask is you are dedicated to the project and have the drive to see it through.
Creative control and story writing
I really don't mind who drives the project but I will drive it if necessary I will also quite happily listen to others and incorporate their ideas or let them control the projects artistic direction. What makes me upset is when people say they will do something then never do it. Quest ideas and story writers are also welcome for the quest writing side of things.
In Closing
This is not a run of the mill mod it will seek to change the core game play of sims drastically but I feel something drastic is needed to make the sims interesting again, however I believe with a dedicated team we can pull this off, either message me here or post on this thread to join, and please remember while I'm happy to put the effort into teaching others who want to learn coding with this project I wont have the time to as there is a ton of coding that will need to be done to see this project blossom so please have some preexisting skills you can bring to the table otherwise its not fair to the other members of the group.
