This is probably my own fault - I am a CC hoarder. I probably had over 60 GB of mods installed...launch TS4 took awhile but once it was launched, the game ran great.
Anyway, I ran the dishwashing batch fix. The results window showed many files that weren't able to be fixed. Then I went to go run the next batch fix and realized that it finished immediately - and the results window was empty. So I open my Mods folder and everything except for my script files are gone. Every mod, in every folder. No problem I thought, because Sims 4 Studio makes a backup, but when I open the Batch Fixes folder, the only batch fix folder I had in them (because I recently deleted the older backups, since game was running great) It just showed a folder named Failed, and had a list of all my folders, but no packages in them.
Checked the recycling bin but nothing is in there. And when I check the file size of my Mods folder, it is only a few MBs...No results.txt file in there either like I normally see.
Did my absurd amount of CC break something? And would Sims 4 Studio even be capable of deleting all the mods from my mod folder?
I am not mad. It is my own fault for having so much CC and not having a proper backup. I will just start the CC hunt all over again, and be more selective this time. Just wondering how this may have happened...?

Hi. I have never heard of Studio deleting all CC. You could do a System restore to an earlier date to get them all back. It‘s worth a try. Thanks! I was really confused myself since I haven't had any issues with Studio either. Maybe something else caused it, I'm not sure. I think I am going to just use this opportunity to start fresh, I had too many mods, but I will keep the system restore in mind if I cant get back some CC I really want!

I don't know why, but there is a file it does this with me too. Only one file (hair 89 from maysims). But everytime I run batches, and I go back inside the game, my sim is hairless and I remember about this. I made a copy of that package on my desktop and must manually reinsert it in Mods everytime I finish batch fixes. I wonder why. :p But backing up one file is something, backing up 60 gb.. not so cool

Just small offer to prevent deletion of mod collection but for this need to know how to work with symlinks. Move all content of your mod folder in other folder(any folder in any aother location like second disc). After this make in original Mods folder symlinks for all moved files. If your packages was in one folder like Mods\*.package then just use any utility or command line to create symlinks. If mod files was in many subfolders like Mods\Hairs\*.package then or make use command line to create same folder structure and symlinks or make same folders manually and then make symlinks. It is possible to make symlinks also for folders but here is important to make symlinks only for files. If you will make symlinks for files then any changes will affect on original files but if any program will try to delete files will be deleted only symlinks but not original files. It is actions for advanced users but if you can make 60gb mod folder working in game then you can understand how to use symlinks.)
