Hello fellow modders,
Been a while since I played/modded The Sims. I skipped Sims 3. I was a huge Bhav modder back in Sims 2. I lived in SMPTE. Anyways....
Like to mention this is my first attempt to make a custom intercation tuning file.
This has me stumped. Apparently the script isn't running my custom SuperInteraction.
I duplicated the SuperInteraction instance 20F91 Give Apartment Key with a unique name, Instance, and Tuning ID.
My goal was to have the duplicate Custom SuperInteraction be autonomous giving an apartment key to an NPC with a custom trait once the relationship was high enough as the original interaction does.
This way the original would stay False on Autonomy.
To check to see if the Custom Interaction was working I played the game until the original SuperInteraction 20F91 would show the menu "Give Apartment Key" on the NPC with the custom trait. Saved the game at this point, since this is where I need to test.
On the Original Interaction I put this custom trait on a blacklist in the test global area of the original instance 20F91. Went back into the game, tested, and it worked.
The menu would not show "Give Apartment Key".
Left the game and began building my custom package file with the duplicate of 20F91 it is basically a copy of the original except for a trait check for the Custom Trait on the who target.
It never worked. I even removed checks. I even remade it with no trait check basically being a duplicate of the original without the above mentioned custom trait on a blacklist. It still didn't work. So I'm wondering. Did I find some unique interaction that can't be made into a custom interaction?
Is there a step that must be done because my custom superinteraction tuning file isn't recognized by the Python script and therefore will not run my new interaction?
Thanks for any input,
PcGeek
Edit: Realized why this isn't happening... I forget Sims are Objects. If you add a new interaction with an object that interaction has to be added to the Object.
So where do I add this new interaction to the existing Object which is a sim.
Thanks
