sims reach across the table to use things (photo)

Any suggestions on how to fix this? its cc I downloaded from Saudadesims but shes been inactive on tumblr a few years. It happens with a small round table cc like from plumbobteasociety cottage garden pack as well, but not with the larger tables nor with base game stuff.
Edit: I forgot to add that they ignore things on the table when I tell them to interact with them too. But will use the space infront of them while already seated.
