hello! I made a frankenmesh for personal use and as far as i can tell I've done everything correctly and it shows up in s4s, but when I go to see what it looks like in game it has the option to select it but the frankenmesh doesn't show up and I'm wondering if i missed a step or maybe did something wrong? here's the package file if anyone wants to take a look. thanks!

I can't check out the package file to know for certain, but my blind recommendation would be to check your cut numbers. Hairs have three cuts, two for hat chops, and the normal/full one, unfortunately this varies by your cloned package so I can not tell you which cut number is the normal one. In S4S all three cuts show up kinda stacked on top of each other, my guess would be the mesh you are seeing in S4S is one of the hat chops and you need to change the mesh group's cut number to correspond to the normal/full version's cut number.

hi! please share the blend file as well. by renaming you mean the name or have you edit the cut numbers accordingly?

i have a couple different blend files since i tried a few different things. this file I just followed a video tutorial where they didn't actually do the hat cuts and just renamed the duplicated main mesh to the correct layer names this file, this file, and this file i did the same as the above but I lowered the poly count for each lod

All your meshgroups have the same cut number. Please read THIS GUIDE (step 9 specifically) to understand where and how to change it. You should open the original EA item and compare each cut (when you create each mesh differently for each hat version it does matter how everything is ordered but since all groups are the same then it won't matter for this particular item).
