Hi,
I've recently bought a Character Creator 3 from Reallusion and would like to give mine characters some clothes. Due to insane prices of the clothing, hair etc. on the websites like Sketchfab or Turbosquid I've got this awesome idea to export some clothes from the Sims 4, convert it into .obj and then wear my characters with it. The models will be later on 3D printed so I don't care about colors or insane quality of the accessories that much.
So what I've done: I've downloaded some clothing from website called "thesimsresource," certainly this one. I've tried to get it done by two ways. 1. Followed orangemittens's tutorial. I had right version of Blender and everything and it went great until I've selected my .package file and clicked on "Import Sims 3 Prop." Nothing showed up. After couple minutes of trying I've let it be and continued searching. I've downloaded the "Sims 4 Studio" app and that's the second way I've tried making it done. So I've opened up the app, clicked on "My Projects," selected the .package file and... what I've got is this. There are the textures of the model but 3D model it self is not showing up. Then I've tried to export the .blend mesh and open it in blender, but it just processed and nothing showed up exactly the same way as in the first attempt.
I woud really appracitate any tips and advices. If you need any additional screenshots or videos, please, let me know, I'll provide it ASAP. Excuse my english btw, hope it's not that bad although it is not my mature language, at least I have some practice :D. Looking forward for your replies, have a nice day guys!
PS: Just so you don't think I've only came to get the models and your help and didn't even play the game, I've acctually spent more than 900 hours in it. Just never tried doing something like this.
