I just looked up a bit about Get Famous which is their new game pack they have made. However I noticed they are kind of doing the same poo they did with Cats and Dogs where they jacked up the prices a lot. Do you think they will lower it by next year? Like usually games companies lower their prices after the game has been out for a while. Unfortunately EA is nutorious for over pricing their Sims 4 stuff and I have no clue when they will lower it if ever. Well, i doubt they 'jacked up' the prices. You do know, there are 3 different types of packs, with each having a different amount tagged on it. EP (Expansion Packs) like Get Famous, Cats & Dogs, Seasons etc are all the same price, and are the most expensive ones of the three types of packs. So to answer your question, i doubt the prices are being lowered. As the three type of packs are different, one contains more content then the other, there for there is a difference in pricing either. I don't mind the price difference that much, i think its good there are price differences, otherwise when the prices are equal yet still divided into three types of packs, you overpay for an AP (Accessory Pack (The green ones)), for a GP you would be probably on point, and underpay (which is good for us, bad for the company) for the EP's. It could even be worse, and we would overpay for both AP and GP's as they would set the price at what the EP's are. People forget a lot of times, that game companies, big or small, have two best interests to protect, us the players, and them the company. They can't screw us, but they also can't allow them to screw them self, because look at it this way. Can they keep producing stuff for this, if the company goes belly up? Nope, the production of the game would completely be stopped. Also I do want to point out, as i am an daily gamer (if its not the sims on PC, its alot of other games on the PS4), i have bought a lot of DLC's over the years, and the Sims is the first game i encounter, that has not just 1 type of DLC for a high price, that not everyone can pay like all other games (Big titles like: CoD, GTA, Battlefield etc etc), smaller titles like DC Universe Online), but sims has 3 types of dlc's, in a variation of pricing, with allows almost every player, with alot of money, almost no money or in between to still buy something for there game. So that is my reasoning for why i think the prices aren't being lowered, and why i don't mind how this system works. But that's just me personally

Would you say the 30 USD is worth it though? I wanted the Get Famous pack but it is overpriced in my opinion since other things that are the same type of pack are only 20 USD so that is an extra $10 plus tax. I am kind of cautious about how much I spend on certain things and it always goes through my mind "Is it even worth that much money to buy it?". Most anti-Sims 4 fans would bitch and complain about the prices (I am really happy there are not many of those types on here.), I am okay with spending $10 to $20 on certain games, but $30? That seems a little high when you look at other packs and what they offer considering the price is $20 they don't offer very much in my opinion and I feel they could of added a little more.
That is just how I look at things though I guess, since I am not that quick to jump the gun and spend a ton of money on games. I try to avoid spending over $20 in one go when buying things that are simply add-ons to games. As much as I would love to have all the stuff packs and all the expansions, I don't want to waste my money. So would you say it is worth it to pay $30 for Get Famous or do you think I would have better luck if I waited for a sale on Origin?

Well in euro's Get Famous costs about 40 euro's, and i haven't decided myself if i am going to buy it right away, and its always good to be cautious with money. You could always wait for a sale, but honestly who knows how long that is going to take It's all up to you, if you really want it because you are like yeah this looks amazing or yeah this looks like fun todo on the sims, then its always worth it, if you got any doubts about it, i think u've got your answer there

Watch cdkeys.com I was able to get it pre-ordered for 26usd. Right now it's up there for 28. I found it through the simsvip website. trust pilot gives it a 9.6 with 14K reviews...so I gave it a shot...This will be my first time using it, but a few people I've talked to have used the website before without issue too. Stating the obvious here, but don't try it if you aren't 100% comfortable using a third party store. It looks like they cover six other languages than English and are a UK based place.
For other games you can also find good deals on greenmangaming. GMG I've used several times and been happy with my purchases.
These both seem to send you the key when the game comes out and then you register it with whatever you're using as a gaming library. (Origin/Steam)

hi! I think that the value of our money depends on each individual, what feels expensive for me can feel cheap for other due to multiple reasons. I would suggest checking around the sale periods in origin. Christmas, for example. I really doubt they add that one right away since it just came out but you don't lose anything by checking. I know origin has other months where they do their sales but I don't know when. googling for it should give you the answer.

Hi MysticModder, Well it's probably not just that it's an "excuse", there are also alot of kids that are depended of their parents to buy a pack for them, and if pops and moms thinks its to expensive, its goodbye dlc. Shadow can also be in a lot of debts and be at a curator (i think thats what its called in english) that monitors his income, makes sure his bills are paid etc and that's just a little bit left (like barely enough to buy food). Why i do get what you are going for when you ask about the pay cut, and i don't think you meant it in a bad way. But there are alot of reasons why people aren't able to spend the amount of money for a DLC like u or me. Anyways, have a nice day

I just pre-ordered it with a 10% discount right off the site. It was still almost $50 CAD, though! Good thing I had some extra money, because that doesn't happen too often for me, either It took me a couple of months to get Seasons. I just do what I can when I can

Also I just think they show lower the price since it probably does not have much more in it than Jungle Adventures or Outdoor Retreat. The money I get is money from family members that I do work for like tearing up carpets, cleaning, and Carpenter work.

I am not sure if you meant to be rude, but that is the vibe I am getting from your comment. This is suppose to be a friendly discussion, not one to be rude to others.
