Hey guys,
I'm working on a new challenge to publish on my tumblr. I've played through the rough draft of it and plan to do a second one that keeps up with updates. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in giving the challenge a shot and sending me feed back about their experience with the style of play and what kinds of things should be added/removed.
It's a one-generation challenge at the moment that is as follows:
WORKING TITLE: A LOVELY FOUNDATION
Sims must go through 1 round of each season before using the auto age feature in the game. Your sims will have to go through a total of 112 in game days before beginning the rest of their lives with their chosen spouses.
YEAR ONE
Season 1: Spring (The Rest of Forever)
1. Set Season time to 28 Days.
2. Start with 1 YA Sim.
3. Turn off auto aging
4. Start with Spring (HARD MODE: start during the winter season).
In EASY MODE you can start with the funds the game provides you ($20,000 to purchase a home and get started with bills).
In HARD MODE you must start with an empty lot of any size. You may buy the following: a sleeping bag or tent, and a toilet shrub for your sims to go to the bathroom. After these purchases use the money cheat to change household funds to zero.
The goal here is to get your sim at a career level of 4 or have musical skills at level 3 (to where they can earn tips from their chosen craft).
One season of career and/or skill building must past before you start building romance. Additionally, the main sim must be at career level 4 or skill level 3 before they are able to date. The NPC sims can flirt with you without hurting the challenge, but the player must not initiate any romantic interactions until the 1st day of the second month.
Season 2: Summer (Lovely In the Air)
Sims must go on 2 successful (Silver or above) dates before asking to be girlfriend/boyfriend.
Once your sim has had 2 successful dates as defined above, it’s time to switch gears. Go to manage worlds and find the romantic interest.
If the romantic interest is with another household, you must separate the household and move them into an apartment or starter home they can afford.
HARD MODE: start as you did with your original sim; empty lot and zero funds with the money cheat.
The goal here is to get your romantic interest to career level 4 or musical skill level 3 while maintaining a relationship with your main sim. Once the skills have been raised, you may have the sims move in together.
Season 3: Fall ( Red is for Romance )
If you were frugal with your money management, your sims should have enough money by Season 3 to build more than a basic shelter. Get both sims to Career level six and/or musical skill level 5. Once there, you may propose marriage.
Season 4: Winter (The Rest of Forever, With You)
Get both Sims to Career level 8 or musical skill level 7. Once there, you may elope or plan wedding. To complete the challenge, let Spring return full circle before attempting to expand the family.
