so much for the surprise i was hoping to release these tonight but their giving me non stop trouble. i spent hours going back and forth testing these trying to get them to work. at 1st i couldn't even get the mirror to reflect anything until i increased the mirror offset. now they show up (a little buggy though) BUT their on the wrong side of the ceiling! i tried everything i rotated the plane again and again, changed the mirror plane settings again and again. these settings now are as close to getting it to work except it refuses to go on the other side facing downward! is it even possible to make these?? the image on the left is what they should look like except they look like the image on the right. it's facing the wrong way and i can't get it to move... x_mirrorceiling.zip (5.55 KB)

Did you try switching the mirror plane from 0,1,0 to 0,-1,0 to flip it?

still didn't work the mirror either doesn't appear or when i increase the mirror offset looks really weird like the sky with weird artifacts. it's on the right side though.
i even tried -1,0,0 still no luck. it doesn't look like it's possible?

well i've tried everything it doesn't look like the game supports this. it's trying to do something that the game wasn't designed to do. i got lucky with the floors but i don't think it's possible to make mirrors in the ceiling. so i'm scrapping this and moving onto something else. SUX

Hey -X- I was able to get the mirror to reflect on the bottom by cloning the floor mirror, flipping the mesh normals, and using 0,-1,0 on the MirrorPlaneNormal, but am having difficulty getting it to go to the ceiling. I'm still working on it tho.

it looks fine on the ground but once you get it up there it will go berserk. it's like it can't comprehend what it's looking at

What I mean is that I can get it to work correctly just not in the correct place. This is at full wall height. |

yeah that's what i meant if you go past a certain height it goes nuts. i couldn't get it to work flush up against the ceiling.

Hey -X- you'll never guess where I found the solution to this... in the footprint of all places in the maxheight field. The original package had this field set to 2.16. To fix it I changed it to 0. Crazy right? Lol.
