Hello, I'm very new at this and terribly confused. Right now I just want to know how to edit cc for personal use. I've downloaded some existing hairlines and would like to know how to adjust them to my liking. When I open s4s there isn't a meshes tab that will allow me to import and export to blender. Not sure if that's supposed to happen or not with existing cc. I've just downloaded GIMP so is the hairline mesh supposed to be edited there?

I recommend checking this tutorial out, Recoloring Custom Content. One mistake I made when doing this for the first time is I would just be making copies of one item and renaming them which you are not supposed to do. You need to clone them and be sure to choose "Make Standalone Recolor". That tutorial should be able to tell you how, if you still need help after that let me know and I can break down the process step by step for you in a more simplified way. Your not suppose to edit the mesh, but doing so would require something like Blender that can edit 3D models. If you are talking about retexturing it however (Changing the color/Adding color) you can use paint.net, gimp, or photoshop.

Put CC in C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods
S4S looks there for CC to clone

Thank you for the advice, but I don't want to recolor, I want to alter the shape or position of the hairline because it's off centered on my sims head. Can you guide me on how to do this? I tried to insert a photo in my initial post but it didn't work.

Unfortunately no, I don't make unique meshes and usually only recolor existing ones to my liking. But I do know you are going to need blender if you want to change the mesh it's self and you are going to probably want to go to mesh and export it.

Thanks again. Hopefully someone here can help. Also I will again attempt to post an image of what I'd like to fix.

sorry about the image sizes. When I cloned the hairline the mesh tab for importing and exporting isn't there The cc file is in my s4s mod folder It looks like this is something that would require you to export the texture itself, and edit via GIMP or Photoshop. This seems to be something hand drawn, not made on a 3D object using blender. Go to Texture>Diffuse>Export and from there, you should be able to save it as a PNG file, and open it in your editing program of choice.
