This is an upload demonstrating a result from my first tutorial that I am making for the community here on the forums. Inside the linked small archive are 12 clones of a BG 1x1 tile pool rug, made into tiny neutral grey squares that can be hidden under most anything, that will give one either the 'sparkles' or 'stars' effect that one sees with the Seasons skating rinks - Seasons not needed to be able to use these!(Screenshot taken at nighttime in Newcrest) (edit: I forgot to add that there are three different heights of each of the FX for both the Large skating rink and the Regular one, so therefore the 12 files... Crikey!)
Great for screenshots, magical gardens, or whatever you desire to add them to in your game! The tutorial and base square are HERE, titled 'Adding "FX That Won't Affect Your Effects"™'..

I had made one of these for myself a while ago, but have now re-made it in light of a certain conversation thread about UV dimensions in the Creator Help section.
Nothing fancy here, just a simple overlay of checkers to assist/show one visually how the UV is stretched over regions of the base Sim. The 'Head' part of the UV layout is 225% enlarged compared to the rest of the body, and here the arms are shown @ 100%, which at first glance appears to be correct, but my testing with my attempts to create an over-the-shoulder tattoo have proven that there is a minuscule difference with the arms proportions, which I have yet to figure out the correct ratio...
Cloned from a BG sunscreen FacePaint, available for M - F, T - E Sim-bodies. THE layout to reference for areas is found HERE, added long ago by the amazing brujah. I Hope that someone will find this helpful! Cheers!

We all each see a 'something special' in the Maxis preview videos. For me, with the EP06 video, I right away noticed the new Creature costume, and was sold on that, if nothing else... This is what I have made of it: 4 different placement options for the skins, which each have 50 swatches; 5 new pieces of whacky 'head gear' for them, each with 12 - 37 swatches (what do you mean it looks like I have a table on my head?)(I tried to cover all color variations); 9 new sets of horns - my 'Best' ever, each with 28 swatches; 8 different makeup options each with 11 - 17 swatches, found either in the 'Lipstick' or 'Eyeliner' categories; 3 new 'leg accents', each with 11 - 53 (yikes!) swatches. 37 files total between the six archives linked above.
The Details: All is Base Game Compatible. For T - E, M/F, all outfit categories except 'Situation',disabled for random. The skins are available as a tattoo, which will be applied to all outfit categories, or as 'Gloves' 'Tights' or 'Face Paint' which can be used over the tattoo one as a 'temporary' color change if desired. The skins cull facial hairs (beards/eyebrows), but allow for everything else as seen in the photos. The makeup 'Eyeliner' version overlays the 'Lipstick' version for an astounding amount of possible variations. The new head-wears are all 'Hats', and pretty much speak for themselves... The Sims are shown first with a tattoo version, then in the center two are shown with that still applied, but with a glove version over the tattoo version. Additionally, in the folder you can find clones of the 'nude' BG male & female meshes, with all of the 'nude-ness' tags removed for no upset with gameplay. I tossed the glowing eyes (2 different versions), found under 'Face Paint' in the folder for good measure as well...
I could have sat on this a bit longer, as I want to do some sort of 'Accessory' that allows one to change the voice of the Sim as well as giving a temporary Aura, but needed to release it now, just to be able to move on... I have Much Gratitude for everyone at sims4studio in the forums who take their precious time to explain how to better manipulate the game's files! Thank You Everyone, this is due to your effort! Additionally, I would like to Give a Heartfelt Thank You to the designers maxis , who made ALL of this possible! Cheers!

This is the First Part of the Aquaria Series, where I put on full display my complete insanity for all to see.
I first made all of this shortly after I completed my Small Pets items back in June of last summer (2018), right after MFPS came out. Then, the official team threw us all in a tizzy with the announcement of Seasons. I thought to myself at first, "Cool.", then I thought to myself, "poo.", as I did not know if/how pools would be affected and what it might do to all of what I had just made...
This is all a 'mini-Stuff Pack' of aquariums, and things to make scenery in pool "aquariums". Maxis meshes 100%, and everything is Base Game Compatible, with the exception of three decor items which need EP02 (Get Together) (the Ruins Decor) (96 of the 99 files). Or, so the theory goes. I have no way of telling, myself, but as I understand it everyone gets all of the tunings and all of the various game FX whether one has a certain pack or not. With the exception of the structure and outside decor used in the screenshots, you get everything that is featured. The only non-CC game items that I used inside of the 'Aquaria' for the photos are the pool lights on the floor and walls. The 'aquarium' walls are a medium height as shown above.
These are not pre-set groups of staged/chosen FX, they are 'real' aquariums and fishbowls. They have all of the standard interactions of the objects, including the non-functional lighting interaction. No custom tuning for the aquaria, all done with simple basic Wizardry. I really wanted to have a set of seamless windows to go with the set, but decided to move on instead of holding myself back waiting for those to maybe happen. Parts Two and Three will be the 36 water color tints and the miscellaneous other 'external' fish-holding items that I have made over time, all updated and ready to me stocked with little fishy friends...
Presentation was also a Huge hindrance for me, as I really wish that I had a video card that could capture the Aquaria in action, but alas my trusty old 760 GTX isn't up for that particular task...
§ The Lot (Pictured Above) - I wanted to build something 'simple' to show all of the items off in one place, and this is what I came up with as 'simple'. Left is a view from just below the unseen 4th floor 'roof', Right is taken on the ground floor with walls up, so you can see what they look like from above, and also how the game engine cuts out the fish FX from what distance...
§ Fountain Pads - Each of the separated lotus blossom pieces (1,2 or 3 blossoms) are individually a 'fishbowl' and you can see the tiny little fishes swimming near the flowers. I had to go with the 'fishbowl' fish, as the 'aquarium' size fish have too unpredictable of an animation path to fit into a fountain.
§ The three different 'environments' that I created to make different kinds of 'aquariums'... First, I show the 'green' one, which I made to look 'Mediterranean' with the ruins, and algae-covered. Second, the 'tropical ocean' one, which has more colorful accessories and 'fauna'. In this one I am showing the Egyptian ruins from S3. Lastly, a sandy 'Desert' kind of environment (huh? Desert Aquarium?), with the dinosaur bones and whatnot... All three show from the outside and from above.
§ But what do they look like from the inside? In the first pictures, on the right you can notice the first re-color of fish that I am bring into this set (optional, of course) which is an altered Guppy. Additionally, you can notice how the 'bottom-dwelling fish behave when placed into an 'aquarium'... In the second shots you can see my re-coloring of the Vampire Squid (subtly made the eyes more blue) and my much improved Discus fishes. The 'Desert' inside shots show on the Left you can see my recolored Mountain Lionfish (I wanted to to be a *bit* more colorful), and my recolored Betta, which I wanted to be more like my favorite 'Peacock Blue' varietal, on the Right you can see my much improved Cichlid... for some reason I missed capturing my koi recolor, for which I wanted the simple all-white with a red cap variety. Each of the individual rocks (not to be confused with the decor rock groupings) are an aquarium, with the capacity of the standard 6 fish of your choice (4 in the case of the cloned Dine Out ones), and the small individual rocks are each a fishbowl, so you can have some extra size and placement variety. I *could* have simple copied each aquarium's rig/slot, but then when together, one would have had a pretty narrow, even dense layer of fish, so I edited them into more of a column, and they have differing heights for the most variety.
§ And to finish all of it off are photos that I am calling 'My Shame', because of how I did the tuning coding. As with my earlier release, where I give Full Credit to coolspear for him having written the code which showed me the way to being able to make a fishbowl where one could purchase any fish (I wrote that code utilizing his as guidance only), this time I did something much dirtier, much nastier, and 'unclean' for me to have done. I wouldn't have done it this way if I didn't want to bang out this item as an additional 'accessory' for the Aquaria Set. I *thought* I might be content using a fishbowl that has the 'Purchase Fish' interaction that I had written, but doing it one fish at a time was going to lead to me never ever getting the demo 'aquariums' filled, so I blatantly used *his* code for his amazing 'Purchase Any Flower/Herb' mod only inserting my code for the fish. I do not take any credit for the fish statue to buy multiple fish at a time. I give all credit for the tuning of this item to He Who Is My Favorite Coding modder - coolspear, whose collection of Must-have (for me, at least) mods are found HERE (SimsAsylum). Without installing the additional tuning file for the set, you will neither be able to purchase from any of the fishbowls (coming in Set Three of the Aquaria release), nor will you be able to use the fish statue either...
As a 'Why Not?' kind of extra something to add to the pile, one archive has individual lilypads that each have one of three different rainbow FX ad seen in the first set of shots. Coming next are the 36 water recolors, then lastly will be the collected aquariums and fishbowls that I have made over time, re-checked and re-released all together... All that talking at you and I didn't even mention how many swatches of what item, but I believe that you can find enough of each thing to get what you may desire from it all.
Cheers, Everybody! #Aquaria #Aquariums #Fish

[Above: 'Clear' versions]
[Above: 'Tinted' versions]
Something much less sprawling than Part One of my Aquaria release. Two different kinds of water ('Clear' & 'Tinted') in 18 swatches each that match the default lighting colors in Sims 4. All BG compatible, individual entries in the B/B catalogue. My custom thumbnail, same as with all of my releases.
§A Note about CC windows and water colors: I had, as I wrote for the Part One post, wanted to make seamless windows of my own to go with this Aquaria set. The ones that everybody uses (the AMAZING ones by mutske @ TSR ) do not contain the shading code that tints them according to the color of the water in a 'pool', which was the main impetus which drove me to want to make my own... Just an FYI.

I made these last Sunday, and really wanted to release them (it), but got distracted while testing them by actually playing the game... And then Tuesday happened... o_0
Cloned from the BG Stock Ticker, it may be found under Decor | Sculptures for §1150. It has a 2 x 2 tile footprint, available in the five variations shown, also with an all-silver option for the base statue for 10 swatches total. I am pretty taken by these, and was thinking how they might be appropriate in an office or hospital setting, as well as any Art Deco/Modern lot... If desired, they can have a Focused aura.
If the video does not play, it may be seen HERE [imgur]
Find by searching 'minimo', they have my custom icon. No tuning was needed.

Tired of vacationing to Granite Falls three times a year to collect what might be in-season at the time? How many visits to Sixam does one need to make? I have been doing even *more* digging around in the tuning files lately, trying new (to me) things and attempting to challenge myself a bit more in that area...
This is one of the results - A One-Stop-Shoppe for ALL your collectible needs, plus one 'extra' category, for a total of 28 categories, as I am more fond of the number 28 than I am 27 (which is how many different collections there currently are in Sims 4) (I added a 'Swag' category for purchasing anything that one could at any of the various festivals). I originally had tried out four different shopping list methods in a much more sprawling shopping mod, and ended up using two of those four for these...
I tried to give a wide variety of options for one to use, choosing an item from each of five different packs for you to choose from (I own all packs *except* for Laundry Day, myself). You can choose from: The RW Cash Register from EP01 - slotted for any large slot, a choice of any of the four EP03 festival stalls, the Vet Clinic Check-In screen from EP04 (I changed the color of two of the swatches), a 'dumbed-down (read: not usable as such) Vault Door from EP06 (with an additional white swatch), or the GP07 Curio Stand (no crazy lights but a broken TV screen inside the shop)... There is an essential, separate tuning file that is required to be able to use these - just plop it in any directory and you will be good-to-go! The tunings are of my own creation - I didn't utilize anyone else's tunings as a base as I had done once before, in a pinch (of course not taking any credit for that one). I looked around and could only find one mods that was somewhat close - the 'Online Utilities System' - but with only five of the 27 categories, and of course for years my personal hero modder coolspear has had several different mods to be able to purchase items, but each on its own category.
You are presented with a purchasing menu for each category, can choose as many of any item as one desires, and the shopping menu is 'smart' in that it will tell you how many of any item you already have in your inventory. As usual, there is a minor 'fly in the ointment' with the menus, as the methodology that I used allows for the 'rig' items of some items to be offered - they simply show up as 'Debug' without any icon picture to show what they are. Simply ignore them, as they are of no value. Additionally, I 'beefed up' a few of the categories to include additional items that may not otherwise have been displayed. The medals from GP07 show up along with the 'Elements' as they have a similar tag in them... Find by either searching 'minimo' or 'Collection', all have my custom thumbnail.

Even if in-game it is only correct twice a day...
I have not seen many choices for thermostats out & about, so I decided to make this little item. I used the Steel Wall Clock from EP01 as a base, but only EP05 is required to use it (Seasons...). No custom tuning, so it is compatible with the 'Automatic Thermostat' mod that I Love to use (by LittleMsSam HERE) ! Found with the other thermostats, or by searching 'minimo'. Price: §125

There are almost always items that get me 'drooling' when a new pack is previewed. Among them for Strangerville was the Wall Purifier, thinking that they had made something similar to the wall aroma device from Sims 3 ITF. I was wrong, so I was a Sad Panda, until I made an Override for the item to act as one... A much more minor 'annoyance' was the lab 'Pedestal', which wasn't really a pedestal, until now, that is... I added one Large slot and four Small slots to the top of it.
Both of these Overrides will *not* make the items show as being 'CC', so you are freely able to use them in your builds and still maintain a 'NoCC' lot for uploading! Of course, GP07 is required to be able to use them, as well as GP02 (Spa Day) for the Wall Purifier.
Cheers & Enjoy the expanded functionality!#DefaultOverride #Strangerville #Incense

Similar to the GP01 Insect Spawners that menaceman44 released HERE, I offer you 16 additional World Item spawners to use on your lots! Seven of them are categorized as 'Base Game' (dirt pile, sand pile, pigeon & seagulls, 2x fish piles & seaweed pile), even though I am fairly certain that three are specific to EP04 (Pets) (the seaweed pile, as well as the two fish piles cannot be used by a non-pet Sim), two from EP01 (Get to Work) (Sixam rock & scientist rock), one from EP03 (City Living) (box ‘o junk), and six from GP06 (Jungle Adventure) (2x rocks & 4x artifact dig sites). In the same fashion as the insects by menaceman44 , these are only available in B/B once one uses bb.showhiddenobjects, and have no 'model' per se, only the numbered cube as show which disappears once placed. To remove them, one must either use the 'Undo' or use 'Flatten Terrain' in B/B mode. No additional tuning, so they follow their original intended scheduling (unless modded outside of the files) and re-spawn regularly. Find by searching 'minimo', by searching 'spawn', 'rock' or 'box', and all have my custom thumbnail.
Cheers & Have Fun! #Spawner #Debug #bb #Collectables

While these are not the windows that I wanted to make to go with my Aquaria set, they are now the ones that I am going to use, and the ones that I am Happy with, as well. Clones of the BG 2-tile wide windows, I here offer 4-tile and 6-tile variants to match. No fancy screenshots, just this one - it seems that if I try to make what some sites call 'proper' screenshots, I never ever actually release anything, so there's that. All three wall heights are available - short, medium and tall, in all of the original swatches & prices. Each different size shows up in the respective category of height, and each has my custom thumbnail and can be found by searching 'minimo'.
note: the curtain placements could be tweaked a bit better than what I did - there is a slight difference in placement between the different ones...
