Hi I am very new in creating mesh and everything and for now I'm trying to master creating a clothing mesh properly... So I was able to figure most of things through tutorials BUT somehow even though I've done exactly the same as one of walkthrough/tutorial videos, my mesh can't seems to work with body slider ;( It just isn't adjustable according to the sim's body shape. Could you help me with this please? This is my blender file: linkand this is the screenshot of my problem... link

hello! this is due to a lack of or a poorly done uv_1. please look at this tutorial for how to do uv_1.

Hey thank you for replying to this thread. Yes I was aware of my weird-looking uv_1 but I just somehow couldn't make the uvmap of the clothing mesh similar structure to the one like EA body mesh.... Any advice on this? Maybe I'm doing something terribly wrong...

Hi! I suggest following the video tutorial linked at the bottom of the shared post. Is there any specific minute of the video that you're having issues with? If you still are having problems with it, please share the updated blend and package files (both please).

Hi I've looked at some working-mesh created by others especially with those with MD mesh since I'm using MD to create my clothing mesh as well. But it just doesn't seems to be working, I tried to make my uv_1 as similar as possibly with other tutorials and stuff but it doesn't seem like the that's the problem... Anyway here's my new attempted-blender: linkand the package file: link

Have you seen the video i linked above? You don't create the uv_1 manually, you follow the steps for data transfer as shown in the video. Remember that you must use a blender version above 2.70 for doing the uv_1. Also, all transfers (be that weights or uv_1 must only be applied to your custom mesh not the body parts. So i suggest first moving the body parts to another group and then re join them again after you've done all the transfers. Select all body parts, press P (selection) to separate into another mesh group.
Again, check the video and let me know what step exactly you don't understand or have issues with.

YES I got it now! Okay, so the problem was that I was kept using nakedtop version to append in the middle instead of clothed one. Of course it wouldn't work if there's no cloth mesh data to transfer into right. Thank you for your support now I will go on and struggle with texture haha

I do all my transfers with nudes. the fact that there isn't "clothing" isn't the issue, bodies have weights and uv_1 as well.

What... then what was the problem??? I don't get it okay I will get back to you after I've tried again from scratch with nude transfer.

I'm not sure. the last blend you shared didn't have a proper uv_1 so not sure what you did after that.

Hey happy to announce that I've fully mastered the transfer append now! I've made a mesh from scratch and did transfer append with nude top and bottom and it worked completely fine with slider But now I've encountered other few problems,.. which are one: cloth mesh works with sliders now but I just can't get rid of holes around the shoulder joint part, is this because my cloth mesh is too tight? two: whenever I try to import mesh into a package, sometimes it goes in with crazy amount of vertices and polygons. Why is this happening and how can I prevent this? It this because it's overlapping with the existing cloth mesh? Would exporting it beforehand would prevent this? I did export it but that doesn't seems to be the problem as it doesn't work.. Thank you!

Please share new .blend and .package. We can't know what went wrong without seeing the files.

Don't see anything in your .blend except some weight assignment issues. I would suggest to limit total bones to 4, see an instruction and why it is important. Regarding your questions. Please share the pictures, because I can't see anything odd in your files. Regarding crazy amount of vertices - it should not happen if all cut numbers are matching, and you import .blend that you provided.

Hey thanks for replying. Sorry but I can't seem to able to see the instruction you've linked me for... it says I need permission to get accessed to it. For the holes here are the screenshots of it: photo1, Photo2 and they get bigger whenever sims move up their arms And yeah cut number might have been the problem since I forgot to check that part.. But I can't seem to find it to alter in my blend file? Sorry I just don't seems to understand what it is for and how it works so I will come back after I've done some research about it. Thank you!
