Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to change arm/hand positions for tops, to adjust it to big clothes? I actually sort of accidentally did it (though assymentrically) when I had trouble with a mesh, so I feel it should be possible.
To describe what I mean further: I have a top with puffy sleeves that are currently clipping through the torso. Some Maxis meshes have big sleeves/big torso and for those meshe the arms are positioned a little wider around the body, so the arms don't go through it.
Also on a side note, I was wondering wether there is a term for this, cause I found it kind of hard to search for it, because I did not know what to call the problem.

There seems to be a correlation between weight groups for ( i assume ) thighs and hands. It is most definitely not uv_1 map, bc this bear costume has none. The only reasonable solution to me seems to just adjust the width and position of sleeves with arms down ( explained here, 1-8 to pose, 22-24 to reset ). |

Hi vividI believe you need to edit the slot rays to adjust the position of the bones you want. Never really looked into it though or to be more precise I failed, a while ago. Don't think there is a tutorial about that editing them. I would advise to clone EA meshes which have it and one without to try and find where the change is. You can also look at this documentation for a beginning of understanding about slot rays. |
