Hello, I'm UplayR94, and this is my first attempt on converting a MMD Dance Motion to The Sims 4. The process went rather well until I discovered the issues with the facial motions, and I'd like to reset them to a blank state. But unfortunately I already baked the animation onto the model, and I have no idea how to fix it.
If someone would like to help me regarding this issue, please reply on this thread, and I'll upload the .blend file with the facial issue.

hi! you can export a blank rig. append it to your blend, select the face bones, copy and paste them over your pose. but you have to do this for all frames individually. loc roting each time.

Thanks for explaining how to reset the expressions.
Does this method also work for inserting facial animations from a MMD Sim Rig? I tried to re-apply the animations with the Copy Location/Rotation and Child Of Bone Constraint, but all it does was distorting the Sims 4 Rig Face.

I don't have any experience with mmd. both rigs need to have the same amount of bones for the pose to display properly. you can try and test it out.

Hi@uplayr94
Welcome to The Sims 4 Studio forums!
You mentioned posting your blend file. Want to post it so we can take a look? I'm intrigued by the distortions you talked about.

Thanks for your interest! But thanks to inabadromance's suggestion I already resetted the facial expressions from the MMD motion to a neutral state already.
Though I do still have problems with inputting the bone constraints for the face bones from another model, as no matter what I attempted ("Child of", "Copy Location", "Copy Rotation" and "retargetTemp") the face is still disforming horribly.

Hi, uplayr94! Did you manage to put the facials in the mmd file? I'm dying to find out how to do this, can you help me? When I save the file in blender, the dance works perfectly, but without the facials.

When I save the file in blender, the dance works perfectly, but without the facials. Hello. sorry this is not message to me, but I have converted several MMDs to sims, perhaps I may be able to answer this question. (my works here) sadly, MMD and sims can't simply convert facial expressions. because the sims uses "bone" for facial expressions, but MMD using "shape key"(deform mesh) for it. In order to convert facial expression needs a little technique. example, I using "driver" to link pose library to shape keys. Maybe there are other easier ways... anyway I hope this helps you to find something useful.
