When creating a new CAS standalone package, there's the option to make a package for ldimple skindetail and rdimple skindetail in the drop down menu. However, there's nothing for base game to select to create either of the dimple skin details into a package. I see there are several creators out there who use the dimple skin details for making not just dimples, but other stuff like cheekbones, eyebags, and cheek blush(so they won't need to use other details like the forehead wrinkles, freckles, and moles in case anyone wants to use them). I was wondering if there was a way to pull up a selectable option for the skindetail dimples? Or if I need to somehow create an empty package and make it so that it classifies as a dimple skindetail, how would I go about this?
Any help would be highly appreciated! -SimmySunRise

On Studio tab click on Outfit Type and choose needed category from drop down menu.

Thank you for the response Feyona! However, after doing this, it doesn't appear to be showing up as a selectable option under skin details in game. I made sure to apply the dimple type for all swatches and checked for both the left and right dimple, but I just don't see either option to choose in game. Is there anything else I should try, or if I'm forgetting another step to do?

Hi! I suggest going into the warehouse tab, and checking the categories on each CAS PART string. Select each one and it should be near the top. If you need more help, please share the package file.

Hello inabadromance! If you were referring to the Additional Texture Space tab in the warehouse, I went ahead and checked that each one had the left dimple skin detail selected(Only one of them didn't have the left dimple chosen to begin with, but the rest of the swatches did). After doing this, I unfortunately still had no luck in finding it anywhere in my game. Here's a link to the package in my Dropbox- link

Don't understand why you don't see it. I added a bright thumbnail and can see it.

Feyona I went ahead and added my own bright thumbnail to the package and loaded up my game, but I unfortunately still can't locate it. I went ahead and tested out converting the package to a left and right mole skin detail, went in game, and these two options were both selectable with no problems whatsoever. Just double checked to see if my S4S was updated with the latest version, which it indeed is. I don't understand why I'm unable to see the dimple package, but since I've already made them into functioning left/right mole details, I don't think I'll be needing the dimple package anymore. I only made a fuss about making one because I planned on sharing these blush recolors on my Tumblr page and thought anyone wanting to download them would appreciate the skin detail option. However, looking up the original creator's TOU with their CC completely slipped my mind(HUGE whoops on my part since this is my first time recoloring someone else's CC)! I checked out their rules just now and it turns out they don't allow anyone recoloring and sharing any of their creations. Even if I didn't get the dimple packages to show up for me, I still would have uploaded the regular blush package tonight on Tumblr. Thank goodness I checked their TOU before doing so! But it's always nice to learn how to create CC, so if I'm the only one having the problem with dimple packages not appearing in CAS, then this post can at least help someone else wanting to make a dimple package. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for helping me out!

Looks like you have another .package in the game with the same instances. Remove all cc from your game and test your .package. Anyways, it is a working .package, so there is nothing to fix within Studio.
I just checked original creator's file and yours, you cloned their .package, and most likely you still have their .package in Mods folder. I didn't realize you were going to release this item. Pretty much 100% of creators are not okay when you use their textures. I thought you were doing this for own game.

Feyona Removed my CC and checked again, it does show up now! But as the original creator has requested in their TOU, I will not be uploading this piece of CC. I find about half the time(on Tumblr anyways) that creators allow their CC to be recolored so long as they get credit for it, especially when a mesh is needed. But now that I think about it, I do notice that it's mostly a creator's custom eye color or their custom hair mesh creations that get recolored and not so much for makeup or anything else. This is my first time recoloring someone else's content instead of making something from base game, so I didn't think to look up their TOU at the time. This was a big mistake on my part and I will remember to be very careful and check the creator's rules, or at least ask for permission to make a recolor if no rules are listed, next time I'm wanting to work on a recoloring project involving someone else's CC. And this is completely unrelated to my dimples question, but for future reference, when recoloring CC made by someone else, would it be best to make a CAS Part Swatch package for the CC instead then? I think I see how cloning the package would be an issue. This way they'll need to download the original CC, right?

Adding CAS part swatch will require a simmer to download original .package, because CAS part swatch will be added to that file. Normally no one allows recoloring their textures, only meshes. But for both cases you can use this tutorial as a guide.
