I have been working on converting this sofa from sims 3 and I can't figure out how to make these weird shadow go away. what causes them and how do I fix it. photopackage

hi! can you please share the blend file as well? have you edit the bump and specular textures? remember that you need to save those as dds dxt5 with alpha if you've edited them.

It looks like a normal map issue, maybe try replacing your normal map in warehouse with this blank 128x128 texture - here

What????? lol Objects in the Sims 4 are made up of several textures. The Diffuse texture is what gives an object its colours. The Specular is what makes it shiny. The Bump (or Normal) Map is what makes flat parts of the mesh look 3D. If you are converting an object from one game into TS4 then you need to make sure you update all of these textures to match or you may get strange lighting or 3D effects that don't line up properly. inabadromance was making sure you were aware of what format to save these images in if you had edited any of them.
The other option is to do what you have done here, and make the other textures blank.
