Do custom made paintings need to be updated?

About a year back (I think) I made two mods which add new paintings to the game. I used Photoshop and Sims4Studio to change the look of already excisting paintings and saved them as new objects. They seem to have worked just fine for the people who have downloaded them but I've recently recieved a message from someone who can't find these paintings in build mode and I was wondering if I have to update the mods somehow since there has been new patches and expansion since they were made.
